Following the Gala, rumors began to reach out from the island to the rest of Meranthe. Of conflict that brew out, and went out of control in the Gala.

Days went by, until new messages came back out from the the island in the form of parchments stamped onto the public boards that once held the invitation for the gala.

Each parchment, carries the same message:

This message is long due, as I needed time to think it over with myself and mull over the words to you, Odile Emeraldi.

When I had set the gala, I envisioned it as a chance for people to come from everywhere and anywhere. An opportunity for everyone to gather, and let conflict step aside if at least for one night.

Yet, in retrospect? I find that I have not acted accordingly to the same words I spoke in regards to you, Odile. I did not put the conflict aside, and in doing so I have stirred up a family feud within the kingdom of Fortune.

To sum it up? I acted as a hypocrite, rather than as your cousin.

I realize this blockade that exists between us, is of my own doing. And for that, I would like to apologize to you, whole heartedly. The future for Fortune is bright in the light of unity, and I am hopeful that we are both key parts in its growth and success.

If you'll honor me with your forgiveness? Then may we work together to set a better future. For the two of us, our family, and the kingdom of Fortune.
Let old blood feuds lie and wash away with the sea, where they belong.
