Ten summers marked eventual emptiness within cobblestone roads.  Once brimming with merchants peddling wares and armor plating shuffling about, streets petered out into quietude, nary a monger or militia in sight. They were present in body as months trudged onward through repetitive cycles; that did not equate towards spirituous persistence.

Flags waved barren until one faithful day when light sparked, surroundings formerly dour reignited via holy cleansing. That column of light, spontaneous and sky-splitting, lasted only seconds before extinguishing into embers– witnesses gathered around ashes previously belonging to one House. It exemplified where misguided ambitiousness would land anybody who dared similar treachery.

Silently, spanning antlers indicated an unanticipated return, rumored to be spurned through assertiveness thought lost from the Fourth Regency. A castle returned to its previous foundations after the toil of others sought fruit. Old faces show themselves following similar hiatuses. And at length, crimson stained paths leading up to Caethir's fountain. Wet, fresh, foreign. A sign of things to come. Bell-like tones rang out over crowds:

"No longer shall burdens be shouldered on their own, for said weight should be divided. This endless 'winter' plaguing our kingdom draws its curtains closed. We must reset the wheel's forward turn, succession from pits so despairing onto springs singing sweetest melodies. Shed your tears for these losses and my absence, yes… and let us continue onward together.

Heed the call, so remembrances may be our inspiration for progression."

A new breath filling Caethiri realms brings forth more demand for commerce. Shops have found new visitors perusing their wares, though there still seems to be room for craftspeople and merchants to set up storefronts.

It appears this fact now drives the Crown, underneath their advisor's guidance, to openly invite merchants so they may establish themselves where business flourishes. This also necessitates classes and jobs for those aspiring towards specific fields, alongside property management endeavors announced some time ago.

Marketplace Overhaul

✦  There are two stalls in the marketplace which are pre-arranged for renting; others will need to be specially built through permits only granted by the King and Queen.
✦  These new stalls cost 5,000 coins upon construction and will be required to be eligible to enter the cooking and crafting contests featured during the upcoming festival.
✦  This is done on a first-come, first-served basis. Stores without any stock before the merriments [January 14th; 11:59PM EST] will be placed on sale for other merchants seeking space.

A notice emphasizing higher demand for certain items catches the eyes of many, inside and out of the kingdom. Those possessing them are implored to find the Crown at once, so deals can be made:

Increased foot traffic and numbers equates to more resources required for those who reside within the walls. The Crown and Court will be selecting trustworthy individuals who can fulfill a host of occupations prior to celebrations. The available positions are:

✦ Farmers, especially those who specialize in animal husbandry
✦ Lumberjacks
✦ Fishmongers
✦ Miners 





Housing Allocation

Similarly to those owning empty shops, anyone who had not approached the Crown personally about their residences in Caethir before the festivities begin [January 14th; 11:59PM EST] and who does NOT belong to the city will have their homes seized. This is in an effort to provide shelter for citizens and those belonging to the Azure Order.





Yearly Classes

Lessons will be hosted for medical, holy, and alchemy arts in the near future for citizens interested in taking them up. Aspiring participants are encouraged to keep an eye and ear out for announcements as they come along for updates on dates and times.

Elements bring forth moments in their waxing, wherever forward headway has been made, and in equal parts waning during calmer moments afforded through the boreal. Though these factors of life do not affect the Kingdom of Caethir when springtime encroaches alongside a proactive front towards its efforts.

As insinuated for a few years previously, lessons and training drills are scheduled for both allied nations and Caethiri residents alike. They go as follows:

Yearly Events

✦  Training regimens geared towards improving combative capabilities amongst the Azure Order and agreed parties will be held at the end of each year. They are expected to be rigorous, with an opportunity provided to medics should injuries occur [Every Friday at 6 PM EST unless otherwise stated; the drills for today were pushed back in lieu of other events].

✦  Medical lessons, however, will be limited strictly to Caethiri residents as requested through the Court Aide. Lord Noctua shall be heading this tutelage during and after aforementioned drills, with a chance for Queen-Consort Calanthe to also do similar [Every Friday around 6 PM EST unless otherwise stated]. 

✦  Townhall meetings for Caethir are scheduled following the new year's start, so that the community may be updated on current events, pose questions, and raise any concerns [Every Sunday at 5 PM EST unless otherwise stated].



The Peculiarity

... An oddity amongst these occurrences has also circulated throughout the walled settlement. It seems that the reigning monarchs are searching for particular individuals, though without bearing outward specifics. Strange, foreboding even.

Harvest time swung amongst its undetermined states, nothing quite set in stone as the kingdom of Caethir experiences boons from contemplation; yet, those successes are paired with woeful moments where thoughtfulness evades those influenced primarily during autumn.

Regardless, freezing temperatures do not inhibit progressions, even when sometimes debilitatingly lethargic. Stagnation does not quite describe what drives the nation's people towards a cautious lull. Conscious developments, more so, churn towards internal improvements within mortar and stone. Much continues growing, as springtime peeks right around the corner.

Houses Currently For Sale

✦ There are three homes available for purchase for any of Caethir's citizenry, all pre-decorated. Depending on the building type, there are various discounts and payment plans for those interested.







Royal Archives

✦ While the Kess Archives has been absorbed into a sovereign entity within the Caethiri realm, the library, once housed inside their castle-keep, returns to its former glory. Its shelves require building onto, and while the currently-apprehended Chronicler remains indisposed until her trial, others interested in transcribing books are encouraged to approach the Crown. Caethrites are much preferred for this task over wanderers or strangers, however.







Cultivation of the Arts

✦ Those who find themselves artistically inclined in ways of painting, sculpting, writing and playmaking hear the call for creative minds from Caethir. As it strives to enter a 'Renaissance' era where culture becomes valued above most, this enthusiasm towards the arts permeates the realm.

✦ Though in these endeavors, the Queen-Consort has made it abundantly clear that anyone bolstering the Fel and malicious forces, specifically the Grand Guignol, attempting to peddle themselves will be executed on the spot.



Caethir's First Auction

✦ Expanding the walls to provide homes and further real estate for those dedicated to its banner turns into the topmost priority, even during the winter months. A public sale of some coffers from royal vaults has been announced by Steward Nicolas Kess for the majority to participate in.

✦ Anybody possessing items requiring a communal stage to be sold upon is able to do so, anonymously or not. Materials, rarities, cores/ fragments, spellgems, and so forth are anticipated to be featured.
