From the Ashes - (Coalition vs Aetius)

A declaration falls to the west, a promise of war echoes on the wind. It comes through missive, through messenger, through rumor within the peasantry. The fires of vengeance were soon to rain down upon Aetius and her multitudes.

The nation of sorcery had earned this fate. It was for all whom they had aggrieved, for all whom they had despoiled, for all whom they had brought low.  From the northward bulwark of Caethir’s soil, to the southern shield of Athelion’s lands. The souls of Meranthe were patient, biding their time, building their might. Now the hour was upon them, the conflict was inevitable.

This pronouncement was carried from the jaws of one wronged, one who lost much of their charge, their beloved. The souls they catered to, the lives they uplifted, the innocents they protected; the very same souls that Aetius slaughtered. Mercilessly they brought down fire upon the masses, so flame was their reward.

Knights were readied, and an alligatored’s shadow loomed overhead. Jacques Marquette Gustav would lead the charge, standing afore those warriors to bring judgement. The reptilian’s words echo through every letter sent, every word uttered.

This was a mercenary declaration, a sponsored effort by the likes of Caethir and Atheleon. There was no banner behind the reptilian, no nation to stand with it. Only their resentment and their dues were its support, and the few that were willing to stand beside it.

It was time Meranthe remembered its scars, and those guilty faced their penance. A demon never forgets, after all.

Quote:“’Dis here takin’ long ‘nough, we waitin’ long ‘nough. ‘Dey goin’ to be reapin’ what ‘dey sowin’, payin’ for ‘da blood ‘dat’s stainin’ ‘deir legacies. ‘Dey knowin’ what ‘dey did, ‘dey know ‘bout ‘dem innocent lives ‘dey slaughterin’, ‘dat nation ‘dey bringin’ low.

We ain’t forgettin’, and we ain’t forgivin’. ‘Dey will be eatin’ what ‘dey wrought. Only ‘dose same innocents ‘dey ain’t t’inking ‘bout, ‘dey ain’t sparin’; ‘dey goin’ to be ‘da only ones we letting’ pass on t’rough.

Let ‘dem be fleein’, let ‘dem be flowin’ out for ‘da nations ‘dat be willin’ to be protectin’ ‘dem. ‘Doh any ‘dem magi, any ‘dem magical t’ings, any ‘dem relics or works ‘dey makin’?

Burn ‘dem all.

The voice of the affronted was clear, vengeance had come with fiery resolve. Mercy unto the clean, punishment unto the unclean. That was their fate, that was their prize.

Despite the blustery wrath and fire with which this coalition greets Aetius, and demands their destruction...

There is only a single sentence given from the Lady of Aetius:
"Come on in."

Flowers and trees around Pavonis seem to bloom and blossom that much tighter around the stronghold of Aetius, for despite the warm and welcoming words of the still fresh Lady in charge of the settlement... It's obvious this coalition will not get what it desires without a struggle. While the bulk of Aetius' forces have marched onwards to the tower by Greywatch, there is still a handful of magi present ready to defend.

A fish so unware of the world, deep asleep:
finds themselves disturbed, peace they had kept for years wavers.

Archmage Bink's Star Student, Handmaiden awakens from their long slumber,
songs of peace awaken, while arms bear weapons crafted by the old Lord of Aeetius.

[Handmaiden will defend Aetius as per old agreement stands!!!!]
