The Archon of Hospitality formed another clutch, the likes of which had gestated with a plethora of demonic potential. It wished for its progeny to be well equipped, Meranthe was a cruel place. Even with its parental care, these two were to face a difficult storm. From Beasts, to the forces of gris-gris, and even political rivals seeking their lives; it was best they formed with a degree of certainty to their existences.

And so unlike its first clutch, the pair were all given the best it could provide. From security upon Myridian sands, to the prospects of various masterful magi they could learn from; there was much the Blacklight hoped to usher forth unto its progeny.

In addition to a morality only the Gustav clan could provide. Strong morals that cemented one's place upon Meranthe. Demon kind was powerful, yet with that supreme power came a greater expectation of restraint. Emotions often ran high, sable blood would boil; and in knowing this the Archon planned to prepare them rightly.

To show them when to act in violence, and when to show mercy. Anything less would bring shame to their heritage.

 

Who are you?
You are ??? Marquette Gustav, a Blacklight Demon born to the Archon of Hospitality. The second generation of progeny it had gestated. Gifted with its sensibilities, albeit not wholly. What personality you form is mostly up to you, save for the morals and the kindness that Jacques will likely instill in you from a young age.

After all, it doesn't cost a thing to be kind. You will also have a strong demonic heritage, the likes of which can affect your mood. This is something that the once-crocodilian plans on mitigating with proper guidance. A Demon no matter its breed is still a Demon. Something that many forget given the amicable nature of Blacklight kind.

You have this same blood, that same propensity for powerful emotions. The Archon of Hospitality will gift you all that is needed to be prepared for this eventuality. Lest you find yourself overwhelmed by your very nature.

As a Demon you will also be blessed with potent magics from a young age, advantages most magi need years to master. And most of all, the ability to absorb information at an accelerated rate. Whether it be combative prowess, scholarly mastery, or the masterful mind of a tactician will be up to the choices you make along the way.

You are a Gustav, a reptilian Blacklight born into a world scorned by conflict. Thankfully, you are not alone to face this. You've a loving progenitor to guide your steps, every which one.

What was your upbringing like?
Warm, kind, and filled with a delightful assortment of delicious Kreyol food. The likes of which is acceptable to the palate of Gustav hatchlings, unlike many of its kindred. It was a genetic mutation, and while no nutrition was provided the act of consuming a hearty meal was pleasurable.

Lighting centers in their demonic brains most of its ilk could not process. And so, a love of fine cuisine, sweet wines, good spices, and delightful pastries was ingrained in their physicality.

What magics should you use?
This I leave largely up to the individual; there is no need to copy Jacques if you do not wish too. Have fun, use whatever magic you like! There are plenty of options, though I do recommend using the Occult tree, if only a little bit. As a Blacklight Demon you do get a discount for Occult magic.
