Across cracked stones,
up the winding footpath.
 
High over the desert,
where owls perch in dead trees.
 
A modest fire crackles with light...

 
  
In wake of recent celebrations held in the weald camp of the children there, a great uprooting was done at the waning hours of the night thereafter. Tent-poles were taken down, carts set for the road, and an abrupt caravan was launched across Meranthe!
 
Festival-goers and passersby watched them disappear into the dusk, fallen stars cast overhead.
 
Travelers now tell of the caravan finding its newest destination upon the high mesas of the Silent Expanse. Tents and amalgams of cart and shelter scattered over a field, where nascent farmland cultures itself amidst harsh desert winds. 
 
As always, a comforting fire beckons, to both curious visitors, friends, and foe alike.
