The Gerbera District stirs with whispers and shadows. The cloaked Apostles of Aurora move without sound, like ghosts in the night. The Painted Cathedral is adorned in all manner of decorations, a splash of color on an otherwise blank canvas. The Curator of Souls is often sighted all but gliding across its pristine marble floors, slender hands holding to her chest an accursed tome that bleeds with the last dregs of Black Magic.

Recently, a burst of magic had been felt within its halls, Chaos distorting reality itself before the air was forced to settle into place. When the Curator emerged, a missive was sent in short order with her words addressing the Non-magi that worriedly peeked into the yawning gates of her Order's place of worship.

A festival will be held in the coming year.

The Gallery of Souls symbolizes our old ways. Devotion through sacrifice, sanctified suffering, agony made holy.

Once, we thought it was all that could be. That art must be paid for in blood for it to mean anything at all.

The festival, in turn will serve as an opportunity for the curious and the skeptical to come before the Curator of Souls. Any are encouraged to bring their questions, their curiosity, to come and know more about the Cherub of Art and her plans as the patron of her Apostles. Any are invited to this rite, so long as they are not allied with Arcadia's enemies—for the Curator does not have the authority to grant them entry—and do not intend to bring harm to those present. Dissent is permitted, but to interfere with this rite is to be met with an escort outside the Painted Cathedral until the rite is completed.
