The Clown Prince’s Requiem

It happened suddenly with no warning.

A normal Nysean night had been ruined with an explosion from inside of the bank. It was like the entire city rattled when it happened.

The fighting lasted for no less than twenty minutes, yet in that time the damage would be made clear. Explosions rang out, blood-spattered almost every single wall. Lightning crackled as a storm brewed overhead and the clear signs of occultism were present, but in the end, there would only be sorrow.

Two Radiants had clearly died. One had a clean hole through her head. The other was shriveled up to what only could be called a prune. Alongside them countless knights were dead. Their bodies lined the floor, few survived.

But those that could describe the incident. Five masked men broke in from under the bank. A hole made from explosion magic right inside of the vault. Each and every robber was skilled, they despite being outnumbered the knights were outmatched from the start.

They never stood a chance.

But one thing never changed about their reports. They all wore the same smiling mask. The same on the Crown Prince Willow wore.

The vault would be found empty, savings of innocents families taken along with three pieces of precious Arcanium would be found missing, never to be seen again.

Yet while all of this could be described as tragic, the robbers had left something behind.

A cloak belonging to the late Stellus, Del mer Joyau.

Hanging from inside of the vault wall, or what was left of it, read a message in blood staining the once pristine cloak, which was as follows:

Quote:
Five people in masks
Pulling up in black thoroughbred steeds
Gravity mages landing
The bank is under siege
Under lockdown
Masked people are gonna gank the bank's butts
 Looking for a banker
Gunna gank a banker's butt

Alongside this was a drawing in blood. A giant clown face had left its mark on the bank, with a seemingly bigger and more visible arrow pointing right at it.

Yet Despite valiant efforts from many parties the robbers would not be caught. There would be no justice today as they got away free.

A horrible day.

One that the Crown Prince would have wanted.
