I think some light rain and thunder in Meranthe would be lovely.. perhaps some light thunder and rainstorm sounds with puddles after a rainstorm, call it a quality of life, maybe even a Temperature command so you can do /Temperature or /Weather and it will say it FEELS hot outside.. or chilly.. would make some some lovely scenes involving rain, being cold, and all sorts

nice idea.. but can the game engine handle it? we get lag in big events imagine that plus an storm.

I was thinking about this while playing stardew valley. I'm unsure how Eternia could handle it on the BYOND engine and I still remember the fog overlay from Eternia 2 and how it sometimes refused to go away if you left an environment.
This system would only be aesthetically worthwhile if the effort was put into making it such. After custom (and general) props are fully fixed this would be a really immersive experience.
