The heralding of the Coven's public presence once more across the continent was announced by the desecration of land within the plains, a point of unnatural convergence cultivated by Black Magic. A district destroyed and then used as a foundation for what rumours have spread to of been the holding of a Sabbath by those obscured figures that had laid waste to the land. The night was stirring once more with the existence of those that had been forgotten.

                                                                    

• The attack by the Coven on Suli'mira was a resounding success for the darkened figures, the destruction of the district leading to suitable land to be cultivated into a Ritualistic spot, the blemished land used as a focal point to breach the veil and offer tribute to Hel; rumors of a Marquis answering the call of the Coven spreading.
                                               
  
• An influx of contraband goods into the black markets and around the Tower of Aetius were offered to those in need; such as Fantasia to offer an euphoric moment of dreams within bottles or Mask concoctions that are capable of transfiguring you into another form. Rumors abound of the bold and desperate only requiring to step into Floor 6 to plead for the substances directly in exchange for something else.
                                              
  
• Time after the Covens return had seen an incursion of nightmares into the domain of the innocent's dreams, of haunting figures a consistent recurrence that seemed unnatural with their periodic return, as if pushing their host's minds to the brink of despair before finally releasing them back into the waking world. As if they were experimenting with just how much can influenced within.
                                  
  
• Tales of the insurgence of numbers within the Coven could only be confirmed, as a multitude of concealed, masked individuals regularly roamed around the continent inciting disorder and offering the sales of wares holding the blackened mark of the Coven. Those who were damned; emboldened by recent victories were freely causing chaos once more across the lands.

In the wake of its victory at the mines, it appeared Vdalion had found itself frozen in stasis. A lack of driving motivation without the worthy enemy of the Hive's former might seemed to leave them unmoving, unheard, a veritable ghost town. Yet, it appeared the Hofgothi of Ymir's Zealots had not wasted his years locked away in meditation in the volcanic temple. Calling forth for the town criers and skalds to spread word, grim news would trail across the land as the deathly chill of the north's frigid cold began to stir again. The words of Shaggard DeGray would be spread to each and every corner of the realm.

I have long tired of whispers in the shadows, it is not the way of the giants. For too long, the Zealots have concealed the dark sorceries tha' we have practiced to revive the shattered god whole, and for too long Vdalion has stagnated with a meaningless peace tha' leaves us rotting away to dust. I send word far an' wide, these are the decrees of the giant priest.

Since the first head fell in the north, we have used the corpses to pursue the truths of negative energy, the potential of stirring our dead god again through the sacrifice of a fragment. A sacrifice worthy of Vdalion, the sacrifice of Vdali. The secrets of the grave keepers have long been kept, and yet hidden in the shadows. No longer. Ymir is dead, and Ymir is alive. To be dead is a holy thing. May the shattered god smite me with his embers if I've mislead my flock, but I am certain this is the age to come in my dreams.

It appears the news was ordered to be spread far and wide, deathly pale riders that disappeared like shadows in the night as the horns of the mountain were blown.

The sons and daughters of Caius, the only faithful son of Ymir, I welcome ye' to return. The dead shall walk in Vdalion, no longer shall ye' need to hide in shadows an' fear prostration. The empire of the north comes again. With my authority as Hofgothi, I declare the Kingsmoot. The head crowned shall lead the way for the grand and intoxicatin' war to come. It was us all along, younger races, that ye' shouldn't have forgotten.

-Vdalion once more welcomes home its necromancers and undead, especially Kenneth. The practice of the dark art flourishes once more in the halls of Ymir's temple. 

-Rumor is spread of plans to pursue the slumbering depths where Vdali lays to sacrifice him, that a fragment of Ymir might be restored.

-The Kingsmoot is called; a king shall be crowned amongst the giants to lead in the coming wars at last; decided with arguments made at the coming event.

-Dark whispers of a project known only as the Spine of Ymir echo through the cold winds of the north; a runic pillar capable of binding undead and enforcing authority over their being.

The last few years have been extremely suitable for Final Frontier development, which has steadily been growing over time - the local infrastructure has improved, more drones are seen across the place and numerous projects have been completed in just a couple of years. And slowly, the research facility reachs the point of becoming something more than just a small organization.

✲ A new mine should soon be opened! One that goes deep into the chasm, a work that began after the expedition's conclusion. Drones work day and night to ensure safety and enable future extraction of natural resources.
 
✲ The Magitech Machinery: Lifebringer was concluded and it has already began the production of 2-A models, which now roam the dunes. Any individual or organization interested in purchasing these models are advised in contacting the Director, Acantho.
 
✲ The Entente Occidental was finally concluded and alliance between: Port Fortune, Final Frontier and Menagerie established.
 
✲ The research facility expands furthers and begins to accommodates new members, but is still looking for those interested in working under the banners of the Proto Institute, mainly artificers and alchemists.
 
✲ Defenses are raised in the face of increasing threat from the undead.. And, the mayor is willing to pay a good amount of coins, for any specimen captured of the aforementioned entities.
 
✲ There are rumors about a new defensive pact being formed by the city of the dunes.
 
✲ The desert is now to be claimed by the forces of Final Frontier, by decree of the Director, to be duly explored by the Institute in the upcoming decades. Thus, sightings of drones prowling the dunes are more frequent.

The settlement of Ryai'sumar had faced many trials over the years since its construction, though it remains unwavering even with the recent defeat at the hands of the Coven. Efforts to rebuild from the damage that was done has already began. The faith of the citizens has remained strong, and they push on even in the face of war. A stir has occurred in the settlement as of late, bringing rumors that a familiar face has returned on the eve of a number of declarations. Making a return to Ryai'sumar, it was the formerly exiled Vycera who delivered the announcements.

 

My exile has long been a question on my mind. Where others have thought that my actions were out of hand, I have long foreseen the plague of undeath that threatens Meranthe. I sought to separate ourselves from the damages Vdalion would cause, and I was cast out for it. With the truth now in the open, I have returned to ensure that Ryai'sumar and its people have what it always desired. Freedom. - Vycera Moore 

• The exile of Vycera Moore has been uplifted and has been reinstated as the Flame Herald of Ryai'sumar. Together with Governor Cirilla Folhammar, they jointly oversee the settlement.
  
  
• Ryai'sumar has taken an official stance on the revelations coming from Vdalion. The settlement declares its independence and intends to wage war.
  
  
• A defensive pact has been formed with those residing in the desert. Working alongside The Final Frontier, resources are to be donated for the construction of another Golem. In addition, there are talks of other alliances being formed.
  
  
• A sum of 100k has been put forward to bolster the reconstruction and infrastructure of Ryai'sumar in light of the recent attack by the Coven. 
  
  
• Following the Drakanite's return from the Temple of the Divine, the location of an ancient nesting ground has been located. An expedition is to be underway soon in hopes of securing a dragon egg. 
  
  

• In accordance with their faith, the Flame Herald calls all Drakanite's who place their faith in the Divine to Ryai'sumar for the start of a crusade against all necromancers, witches, and undead. 
  
  

• There is a rumor that someone among Ryai'sumar's leadership has been infected by the Red Psychosis, but it remains to be seen who that is.

Years turned to a full decade and more, and with them did that loose conglomeration of island homes take further shape. Fortune flourished within the eponymous Freeport, allowing it to continue doing what it had done best: call the displaced, disillusioned, and simply lost to its far-off shores from the mainland. Disordered dots of quaint island residences became connected by roads, the spaces between them filling with more carefully designed architecture. Progress seemed like a fantastically straight climb upward, for a time, but such naivete would eventually be worn. Washed away by a hostile tide those Fortunate folk had invited by their own daring. 2013 AC was a sobering year for Port Fortune, spent picking up pieces and mourning losses, yet the booming salvo cannon-fire which ushers the year's end should speak of a resolve to move forward. Though a formal government as of yet remains undeclared, the expanding roles and interests of the Southern Seas Company begin to resemble something precursory to such.

• It is rumored that Captain Vilhem von Mare has been on some extended journey for a great many years. Responsibility over the port since falling onto the shoulders of his most trusted officers.
  

• The Freeport further stakes itself in international politics, becoming a founding member of the Entente Occidental as well as arranging an alliance with the curious town of Oakvale.
  
  
• Attaining suzerainty over Mina Solis as well as erecting a lighthouse to affirm a claim over the former isle of the Black Thorn Pirates, the Freeport has begun to exert a sizeable sphere of influence over the southwestern seas.
  
  

• Sirenian refugees have washed upon the shores of the Freeport in extraordinary numbers, finding refuge from the Sunken Order. It is said that human beings and fish can coexist peacefully.
  
  
• After insistent challenge towards their decisions by the Sunken Order, the Freeport is locked in its first direct conflict since the defeat of the Black Thorn Pirates. Opting to stay true to those Sirenians who came to them seeking shelter, come Hel or high water, the latter eventually came. From blackened waters and beneath darkened skies, the Sunken Order scored a pyrrhic victory against the Port - extracting a costly toll yet losing their very leader to captivity in the process.
  
  
• Deeming further affiliation in light of recent news to be all-around bad for business, the Freeport dissolves its previous official ties to the ancient nation of Vdalion.
  
  
• By virtue of aid lent during the Freeport's hour of need and the prospect of reparations for the death of one Samandriel, the current Diarchy of Dal'Thala is on a quick track to developing warm relations.

The world has become a bleak place. With the growing uncertainties as the forces of the dark re-surge all across Meranthe, the ex-Oracle Lloyd Astrid makes a decision to appoint a new successor - Solomon Equisol, who becomes the new Oracle of Athelios. A controversial figure of fame and infamy alike, best known for his dabbling in the strategies and tactics of Umbra, perhaps at times to an extreme; yet a pillar of strength all the same, hoping to ready the Holy State of Aphros against the coming storms.

With the new Oracle and the growing darkness over Meranthe, speculations arise that Aphros may lean towards the ways of Umbra more; after all, if the darkness is too deep, one must follow the shadows.

• To honor their previous Oracle, Lloyd Astrid is given an honorable farewell upon his retirement. His contribution to the Holy State of Aphros will be remembered kindly.

• Ophelia Kallis was appointed as the new Head of Kallis Family. It is expected for Kallis to rise to prominence once more with this change.

• With the treachery of Nekane and Ember, all titles and possessions are stripped, their names crossed from public history as if they were never Montelione to begin with.

• Further speculations rise with Valette's departure as well. At her absence, Evangeline Montelione is made the new Head of Montelione Family.

• The Bastion places its focus on warfare and strategy. Public offers of education in the arts of Occult are provided by Oracle Equisol himself; the restrictions are loosened now.

• Rumors state that Aphros seeks to bolster its strength through conventional and unconventional means alike; no confirmed information is yet to be found.

• The newly appointed Oracle Equisol urges for leaders of various settlements to come forth or to forward envoys for the sake of diplomacy and discussion.

• Various rising threats have caused the Bastion to look for more recruits. By all means, the image is clear - Aphros is preparing for war.

Eight years after its founding, Menagerie has flourished in Mestra's light. The village has found itself in steady growth and relative peace, leading to Menagerie's first official governing body, the Prismatic Triumvirate. Only time will tell how Mestra's Masterpiece develops within the years to come.

In the Facility of Progress, things are in constant inertia, their state not changing as they didn't have time to stop and this was noticeable in the constant expansion, in the constant grinding of gears and sparks that gave life to new automatons that now roamed the dunes. The Director and his creations have been quite busy in the last few years, here are some of the feats they have accomplished.

✲ The Chasm Depths is finally open, yet, only those from the Proto Institute or people directly allowed by the Director, can venture and extract the materials from it.

 

✲ A new batch of 2-A Models were created and together with such, the new Models 3-A have emerged. Alpha and Omega are functional and should be adressed for any needs, as they are the current Representative Figures of the Animunculi - when Acantho is not present.

 

✲ Rumors spread about new workings and projects, mainly, one regarding a Vault that is under planning.. As well as one about a Animunculi Titan.

 

✲ Rumors about possible new alliances between Final Frontier and another place spread across the dunes. The Director claims that nothing of such is happening and this is not something to worry about.

 

✲ Expeditions are being organized and soon, the automatons should be allocated to special tasks.

 

✲ The Director continues to encourage interested parties to seek his services in terms of hiring his creations. Additional prices and fees will be decided upon meeting.

 

✲ A new housing area is being built in Final Frontier, to accommodate the growing number of automatons, as well as individuals interested in joining the Institute. [ An investment will be made for Apartments ]
