➤ A Shrine to the Demon King. An object of sabbatical worship, adorned with a scrying crystal, perhaps once used to communicate with the homeland.
None of Ilysander's grimoires remain but his Night Creatures litter the isle as corpses, having reached their expiry date. The Demon-King's name is never written on leftover scrolls. Other information is useless or had already been discovered by scribes of Meranthe, except for an explanation of Atrellya's upper echelon.
The Demon-King and below him,
The Seven Unstoppables (Demon Sages, etc). These tiers are considered the pinnacle of Demonkind, centuries old with untold magics. Stories and myth are written about them, known throughout Atrellya and its separated but neighboring villages. And below them,
Infamous witches and the revered Elaide bloodline, extremely skilled at witchcraft.
Approaching the end of the year, travel to the southern isle is ill-advised by locals after the Mortyl-wings of the Aegis Commander and Crusader, Oceiros, are hung outside on stakes. The grounds are ruined with wreckage, blood and dead lesser demons. Vollerei and his pack had been forced out, defeated by Zoryana Hiraeth. These events coincide with declarations that the magi Aline is a witch.
The loyalist sect, Hyakki Yagyo has officially assumed control of the Crescent Fortress, resolving the schism from almost a decade ago.
Through the nightly fog, a sorrowful woman with black hair stands at its highest point.
