A frozen encounter with Mahotaur

Event: Angelic Secrets - Way of the Sword

Responsiveness (Were their narrations posted within a reasonable time-frame and were they quick to respond?): There were times where I was getting minorly impatient, but above all the descriptions were pleasant and well thought out. With the length and thinking required of some of the passages, I felt like they were reasonable. However, I feel like as times the communication that a narrate was coming through would've likely quelled a lot of my impatience.

Balance (How entertaining were the battles, and any obstacles/traps?): The fights were cool, a lot of the creatures felt thematic and the leadups were appropriate. Many of the traps or obstacles felt like they required more practical thinking and allowed us to think outside of the box more often.

Storytelling (Did it feel like an adventure, did the content of the narrations meet your expectations?): The storytelling was great. I felt like I was walking through the ruins of an old kingdom and none of it really took me out of my immersion. Overall a very captivating tale.

Fairness (Were the punishments justified and earned, was the risk to reward ratio good?): I got unlucky. I got permed. But it was a chance of death and I rolled a 1 after going down a round - I was the only one. The rewards were nice, though. No explicit gear, but the ending reward (a corrupt angelic demon slaying sword dev item) was fantastic and a lot of the dev items are either easy to integrate into something or able to be made into something by itself (I KEPT THE SWORD!). I'm going to try and see if it can end up better than my current weapon!

Event Highlight: The ending boss was fantastic. A Nethradin in the guise of an angel, wielding an old angelic weapon? It was unbelievably sick. Hindsight was 20/20 when I got tricked by it in the dumbest way, TOTALLY my fault, but the false dreams were cool and he worked well to craft each one despite maybe not knowing each of our backstories.

Overall: Extremely fun event, would want to have as DM again.

Any other comments: Tell me when you're narratin' BOY. Also fantastic use of props.
