Over a year has passed since the reclamation of Port Fortune from anarchy by a group of, primarily, Bastion members as led by former knights Mnemosyne and Elizabeth Montelione. Silence reigned in the wake of their victory for a while, only some rumours emerging here and there of the pair speaking to diplomats from the Kingdom of Serenity as well as the Kingdom of Fortune. What is the Traverse?

The Traverse, a space meant to bridge the worlds of the deep oceans and the surface, as well as the islands and the mainland. Where all those seeking a new home may find refuge, be they not aligned with the Fel or similar entities. Whilst possessing no official state religion, initial colonists hold close to the faith of Athelios, due to origins in Aphros and its ideals. In addition, a special emphasis on ‘Fate’ as it ties to Memoria can often be found in this place. A special, dedicated reverence to spirits of the land is present, to whom respects are paid in offerings and appropriate sacrifices. Though some deities may find themselves lacking in representation due to certain ideals and values espoused, worship of the Pantheon and the Constants is unrestricted.

Ruled jointly by Mnemosyne and Elizabeth Montelione, this new state features joint power between the two, though it is known that Mnemosyne handles many of the more militaristic affairs and matters of the nascent culture and ideology, whilst Elizabeth is known more for foreign affairs and spirituality. Beneath their dual leadership, confidantes and advisers work to assist the Suzerains, though in this period of transition, official titles and positions are still in flux…

• Talks over the purchase of Raven’s Hold have been held with the King of Serenity, Rued Silvanas. Though nothing immediate has been done, the arrangement seems to have been deemed a success. A joint public event is in the works between the two burgeoning settlements.
  
  
• The island, known for the longest time as Port Fortune, is soon to be renamed to avoid confusion and association with the Kingdom of Fortune, though an actual port will be built to carry on the namesake, amongst other changes to infrastructure.
  
  
• Investors and citizens willing to contribute to the newly arisen state are welcome. Building bridges requires many hands. Seek Mnemosyne and Elizabeth Montelione out!
  
  
• Word is spread about an upcoming festival to Fate, an invocation to Memoria to bless the isles with good fortune in the years to come! Seers and fortune tellers curious about helping are encouraged to speak with Elizabeth Montelione.
  
  
• All Sirens are welcome and encouraged to seek out Mnemosyne, if they are interested in the history and legends of their people, as well as contributing to a new home for the Sirenkind in Meranthe. The offer of the knowledge of the oceans and all that dwells within it is extended to all others who may be interested in learning and understanding.
