"You destroyed it."

"All of it."

"I understand, Naysien. You need not give your reasoning."

"We were not worthy and so you took what we couldn't protect."

"You smite us for our incompetence. For our complacence."

"For our lack of sin. Our lack of power."

"Our lack of faith."

The ruins of the Coat leave nothing to be salvaged. Hundreds of innocents, non-magi, and retired Ebonblooded die in the sudden catastrophe, leaving the once sacred home of the Naysien faith no more than ruins, craters, molten stone, and lingering blazes. In the aftermath the remaining survivors flee from their home, finding refugee in the forests, caves, and various shadows of Esshar. Now placed upon the path of unknown, the future of their faith hangs unceremoniously in the air, their Herald dead, their alter destroyed, and their goddess pushed out of Esshar. Despite these failures and the overwhelming challenges ahead, the trio which survived remains ever loyal to their cause, rumors of each scattered throughout the continent, separated, without a home to share, but far from finished.

Among the ashes of the wreckage the most outspoken voice of the new generation continues her zealous faith. Rumors circulate of letters exchanged with the nation of Sluthia and scouting parties in the east, the young prophet wasting no time in planning the next move of the fallen nation. Reports of her now being accompanied by a black wyrmling also reach the common ear, displaying her apparent support from Naysien and her off-spring even in such dire times. Soon manic philosophical writings find their ways to post-boards across Esshar, paper drenched in black ink, containing writings in white. The hand writing is inconsistent between each letter, some penned as well as you'd expected from an academic, others penned so poorly they are essentially unreadable. It is declared in many of the papers that the tenants of the Ebonblooded have eroded and must be reenforced, reformed, and properly respected.

Once pieced together, the following tenants are clearly declared:

Sacrifice is required. No mercy to our enemies.

No allies or friends among heretics.

Strength is to be respected, though power alone means nothing without faith and merit.

Naysien and her offspring are to be worshipped as divines.

Immortality through non-draconic means is heresy.

Non-draconic worship is heresy.

Stealing from a dragon is heresy.

Inaction when capable of action is heresy.

Indifference to your kin is heresy.

Hedonism and exclusive self-interest is heresy.

Mutiny of the Herald is heresy.

Death is an honor and to fear it is heresy.

Naysien's path is one of sin and the curse of sin magic is an honor.

All souls and essence stolen is to be offered to a dragon if a medium to do so is present.

Otherwise to consume another is to grow in power for the sake of your faith and should be considered an honor.

Conflict with a dragon is only acceptable out of self-defense and prevention of harm to other dragons.
