Upon the wall rests a lifetime of events. Pinned in place to forever remember, they represent the successes and failures of their collector.

"...-was perhaps the biggest event of the year. On the night of the Kallis ball there were many who were dressed to impress, but Valette Montelione was perhaps dressed to shock." Reads the Aphros times, weekly edition.
"Having designed the masks endorsed by House Kallis on the big night, she had a hand to play in the Umbra and Astra duality aesthetic that gave the evening much of its characteristic flare. Half Masquerade, half social gathering, many were put on the spot to choose which aspect to represent; Dark or light, with many being judged for their choice and quite a few abstaining altogether. The evening was perhaps best represented by the outfit the Noble Lady herself had worn. While her choice of an Umbra mask would have already been an uncharacteristic decision by a member of a house closely associated with Altruistic ventures, it was instead her accessories that drove the sense of notoriety; A single dark imitation of a butterfly wing with a splashing of white and gold detailing along the shoulder blade .
Having known the possibility of Delphina sending a delegation to represent their interests, it could be surmised that the young lady had intended to pay tribute to a possible improvement of relations by embodying aspects Fae are known for, displaying a commonality between Aphros and Delphina. However, due to the choice of Umbra, it could also be surmised as a move of aggression. Corrupted Fae, or Fairies, are suggested to embody the element of Occult, an aspect of darkness. Whereas a normal 'light' fairy possesses a desire to keep nature viable and unmolested by volatile influences, a corrupted fairy -- according to scholarly notes -- may do quite the opposite; It brings with it an innate defilement of the natural order, warping the world around it to suit its biases until it is a spectacularly hostile and unwelcoming environment that opposes the prosperity of life.
Of course, all of this is mere speculation. Lady Montelione had abstained from revealing her intent, leaving it up to the viewers of the night to make up their own minds in that regard."
