Razing of Elmyra

Following the beginning of Elmyra's construction, Aphros began mobilizing their forces in response to such move.

Led by Knight-Captain Hadrian Dominic, their intent is clear - to raze the town of Elmyra and drive out Greathive forces. They would not suffer the Shadowlands savages any closer than they already must - and through a quick, decisive strike, they intend to cut off Delphinia's possible reinforcements and supply routes, preemptively ending any chance for this construction to continue.

A clear attempt to push out the Monarch and her minions that chose to extend a step too far.

Before the march, Knight-Captain Hadrian Dominic gave a short speech.

"The skittering scourge has plagued this continent for long enough. For the last year, they have terrorized the people of Aphros without restraint; And while the faith of the Aphrosian People renewed our faith, our hope that it would be over - It is only by the hands of Athelios' faithful that action may be taken. For once, we have grown tired of allowing these abominations to walk our lands."

"If they do not wish to leave on their own terms, then that affront to the nation of Aphros shall be burnt to cinders, buried under their own putrid husks- Their destruction, a lasting monument to our fervor."

This is restricted to official combatants of the two nations (you'll be asked of your rank). Magi that would be permitted to serve within or alongside the military in organized warfare.

The rival nations are engaging in hot warfare, and the frontlines have been busy with constant encounters.

DANGER 1++ CAP 1++ SUGGESTED CAP 2 FOR MOST ACTIVE COMBATANTS BUT NOT MANDATORY.

IF APHROS WIN: Elmyra and all buildings are razed / destroyed. Delphina lose half a heart.
IF DELPHINA WIN: Elmyra survives. The nearby Aphros watchtower is razed in retaliation. Aphros lose half a heart.

Losing a key property (such as a small village or watchtower) means that the slot for the property is on cooldown and cannot be constructed immediately, limiting the 'cap' of territories from 3 to 2 for a month after the battle date. 

Half a heart will be restored if:
➤the nation invests in its people (100k), comes with a pack of minor resources
➤the nation wins a battle soon after the last loss; restoration of morale
➤the nation rebuilds or builds anew (takes 1 month)

The ebb and flow of a bloody battle comes, leaving bodies broken and lives altered. Forces in bulk clash, their impacts dwarfed by the meeting of dozens of magi great and fledgling alike. The roar of battle is like an earthquake unending.

Yet eventually, it does begin to die. Slowly, surely, the chaos of battle gives way to the clarity that Delphina's lines yet hold, that the offensive of Aphros has failed, and between the two parties lay a myriad of dead and wounded lesser from both side, notably most among them the lingering fate of Aphros' Sabine Ventrix.

Aphros is repelled and neither side lays broken, nor unmarred. Elmyra stands.

Following Delphina's Victory against the invading army from Aphros, the Greathive is ordered to relocate and occupy the mining settlement of Elmyra. Construction is underway, and preparations are made by both the Greathive and Faeborne to fend off the Blood of Ymir from the assault on the nearby watchtower.

 

The watchtower placed outside Elmyra was destroyed in retaliation to the invasion.

 

The Hivequeen gave a short speech following the successful defense.

 

"Keh."

 

Several bodies are witnessed being dragged off by various bug-kin, among the cadavers being Sabine Ventrix's. All within Delphina are invited to witness the Whispering Oak of Formica bear it's glorious fruits.
