StarlightStarbrightZERO TOLERANCE [SHATTERED FEW vs THE GUTTER]
#1
Word has stirred, the forces of Man once more coming together to form a single cohesive unit. And both sides of the conflict wait with bated breath for word on their first march. It takes not long at all, the ones that march under this unified banner cursing any state of further stagnation or neutral movement. Within just months, their armies gather. Marching from the City of Duality, through the woods of Dal'Thala and across the sands of the Final Frontier. Assisted everywhere they step, onlooks watch from their windows as the weapons of war are wheeled forth from every nation that once stood under a single Empire and then some.

Ships sail in from the south and west, where the forces lay make the target clear.

Upon the borders of The Gutter the forces of Man stay, the elite, chosen children of Amier. They prepare their attack and ready their weapons that look to siege the fortifications. Word is spread across the people then, now that battle is on the horizon.

Quote:
"Our fight that takes place here will only be the start. All of you, chosen by your nations, represent the greatest we as Amier's children have to offer. From this day on, your nights will grow long, your days short. But, by the end we shall drive away the forces that look to take your lands.

The forces of Hel shall find their home in flames once more, the ancient dark of the Coven brought to light, Mori returned to the deep.

Together, despite whatever difference we carry, we are guided under the Pantheon's watchful presence. All of the Shattered's eyes viewing upon us now and giving us their blessing. Forget not the great battle of the past and the victories we found there, despite our sacrifice. We look to bring the same here."

Within the Gutter, a few discussions had been held, plans and deals being made in regards to the mention of misguided fools desiring to attack the Gutter. Word was sent back out, penned from the Queen of the Gutter herself. Various merchants, travelers, and allies of the demon herself reached the far corners of Meranthe, passing word through Dal'thala, Frontier, Aphros, and even that of Sapphire Bay.

Quote:"You wish to march upon my lands. You claim you have no time to judge the actions of others, and that you will not rest until the forces of Hel are removed from Meranthe. First mine Gutter, then Grisha's Maw, then Lyseroth's coven you say. How foolish can you really be? A battle here will change nothing, do nothing other than weaken your forces. Forces that could be used properly to secure the future of the world. It is not stagnancy that corrupts the lands Daralis.

It is stupidity.

When you march upon the Gutter, you will find mine forces waiting for you, and when we're done with you, we'll continue doing what we can to make Meranthe safe for the future."

The forces of the Gutter prepare to stand firm and drive back the Shattered Ones. A call being sent to Lok's various allies throughout each of the nations, missives inviting them to speak with Lok to determine a proper path towards making the world less dangerous.

"While it comes at a price, know we will fight in their defense with all our strength."

A war horn could be heard upon the distance as multiple soldiers on horseback could be seen arriving towards the Gutter with torches held high.
Spearmen and swordsmen both setting themselves up properly to form a defensive barricade. A camp has been set near the kingdom to house these soldiers, smoke billowing from the campfires.

Hawks flying overhead, missives being sent - and a deal was struck.
A brief meeting perhaps had been seen. Whatever the case, it would appear that the Gutter's defenses have since been bolstered.

"How hypocritical of man."
The Golden Horde marches in the defense of The Gutter under contract.

As the fight to defend Dal'Thala from Gluttony's army comes to be, the camps around The Gutter lessen in their forces. The battle can be heard raging over the waters that separate the demon-led fortress and the city-state within Delphina, its magics can be seen in the fires it burns within the forests and the explosions like fireworks in the sky.

While the battle extends and the losses of the allied nations increase in number compared to the forces of Hel and Sin, more soldiers can be seen leaving the camps set around The Gutter, loading into boats that hoist the flag of Port Fortune's naval force. They sail across the blue and reinforce the battle across the way, the military there in dire need of help. Even with said reinforcements, the losses suffered by Lyseroth's plunder within the nation were stifling. And as the days come to be, those that defend the fortress belonging to Gutter are able to look out past the lands, these camps never quite refill. They are left to the winds and sands.

Where one might expect to hear the preparations of war within these camps, instead back in Aphros are its meeting halls filled with back-and-forth chatter and dozens of letters which flutter through window carried on wings. The leaders of the world to meet again, information flowing.

The result is clear. Whatever attack was planned has been abandoned due to some information gathered after or during the result of the most recent attack.
