Elzara, The Leaf's Blade.

[Frozen Heart]

With the transitioning of seasons, a new Commander of the Elzara is appointed - the particular honor falling upon the likes of Elvyn Alinteau. On the eve of the nascent year, he stands before Delphinan residents to make an announcement in regard to the militia. With a tone laden with reverence, he began to unveil the profound essence of what the Elzara represented. His words carried the weight of history and tradition, weaving together the threads of the past with the aspirations of the future.

"For countless generations, stretching back through the annals of history, the illustrious Elzara have faithfully discharged their sacred duty as the unwavering sentinels of Delphina. This unbroken legacy, forged over centuries, remains steadfast and unyielding, an unquenchable flame in the heart of our realm. Rest assured, this enduring commitment shall remain unaltered. We pledge to persist in our role, not merely as the impenetrable shield upon which our cherished citizens may find refuge, but also as the razor-sharp blade poised to sever the vile and unredeemable forces that threaten our beloved land.

As I stand before you today, assuming the mantle of Commander, I solemnly swear to dedicate myself entirely to the cause. I pledge to ensure that our valiant soldiers are not only honed to the utmost of their ability in combat readiness but are also fortified in their minds to confront the formidable trials that destiny lays in our path. The dawn of a new era for the Elzara is upon us, and I extend my impassioned invitation to all who share our noble cause: stand with me! Together, we shall script a new chapter in the grand saga of the Elzara, united in our  resolve to protect Delphina and uphold the legacy of our illustrious ancestors."

In addition to the those words, Commander Alinteau also spoke of tangible changes within the ranks of the Elzara. These adjustments, carefully crafted and meticulously considered, promised to breathe new life into the organization, fostering unity, progress, and a renewed sense of purpose among its members.

Commander: The head of the Elzara, the Commander is responsible for fostering the growth of all members whether it be by direct or indirect approach. They should always be taking the interest of the others in mind as well as what's best needed to protect the civilians of Delphina as well as to properly serve the Monarchy.

Bladewarden: The most prestigious position that one can aspire to reach within the Elzara. There may only be one Bladewarden at a time, as their authority within the ranks is one that oversees all below. The Bladewarden is considered to be a second-in-command within the ranks, and will likely be the next in line to become Commander should the current one retire or become unable to properly carry out their role.

Thorn Captain: A captain of the Elzara. One might reach this rank by showing exceptional dedication throughout their years of service as well as having proved themselves to be a trustworthy soldier that can make crucial decisions under any circumstances. Thorn Captains have the ability to direct the Leafguard and send them on patrols whether it be of the perimeter of Delphina or further out. 

Leafguard: An experienced member of the Elzara. By the time you've reached the rank of Leafguard, you'll be expected to have learned a quite a bit during our time within the military. You'll also be expected to provide a good example to the recruits below you. Members of this rank are able to and encouraged to initiate patrols in small groups with other Leafguards as well as recruits. They may also be deployed as escorts if needed.

Recruit: A new member of the Elzara, this rank should be considered a sprout - a budding member that shows great promise. As a  new recruit, you will primarily be learning from the likes of the Leafguard and higher, accompanying them on patrols while taking more of a hands-off approach in conflict to learn more about how to properly handle the responsibilities to come.

Prospective individuals who harbor a keen interest in joining the ranks of the Elzara are warmly encouraged to speak with a distinguished Leafguard or any superior officer holding a higher rank. This encounter provides an invaluable opportunity to engage in insightful discussions, receive guidance, and gain a deeper understanding of the selection process and responsibilities that await those who aspire to serve within the esteemed Elzara.
