in exchange for profound physical prowess, protection from harm, and ageless immortality.

Becoming a Shade does more than just change the physical form.

You will never be human again.

You will live endlessly alone with nothing but history as your companion.

You are left to watch your family, friends, and companions die.

While everything around you may crumble,

you will continue on.
