EVENT PLAN:

The party is brought to the islands of New Atlantis by boat. Their travel plan includes SHORT-TERM WATER-BREATHING POTIONS for those poor non-Swim owners. If pressed, it’s explained that the potions are in limited supply and are an ALCHEMICAL SECRET.

Approaching the island with a port, the boat is attacked by a GREATER FROSEAL [Encounter 1]. After driving it off or stalling long enough, the party is caught up to by a group of Royal Guard. If they’re impressed and treated with respect, they’ll give out some Sea Stones. Either way, they’ll take it from here, escorting the group to New Atlantis proper.

In New Atlantis, they might explore, able to roll 1d6 to find interesting things to be gifted or bartered for. Probably a lot of raw fish. Note: If Maliyah is on the event, this is where she should meet with the priestesses, gaining recognition and the Priestess’s Ring.

The fun can’t last forever, though: searching for that secret knowledge, they’ll be directed to a certain deep anguill tower. It’s dark, and evidently less maintained. The Clan Leader there thinks his clan might have something like that, but there’s a problem he wants solved first. See, he’s been sending some of the most adventurous members out to secure more food for the clan, with the current scarcity, but they don’t seem to come back from their expeditions in this direction. Weird…

Traveling that way, it’s somewhat deep, but not deep enough to worry about the Mori. With careful observation, however, as they venture further from the city it’s clear something’s been shaping the land here other than the ocean and fish. Eventually, the source is found: the LESSER LEVIATHAN. If they’re cautious, they won’t be caught off guard: otherwise, they may have to roll, leaving those rolling under 2 hexed due to some manner of psionic attack.

While even the lesser leviathan is very difficult to kill, it shouldn’t be here, so close to the surface. There’s some kind of malign influence over it, and their fighting seems to be breaking it by making its mind clearer. If something is done to get rid of this influence, it’ll be weakened, and either way after enough fighting it’ll be driven off. A Leviathan’s Tooth comes off in the fighting.

Returning to the tower, everyone’s quite concerned a leviathan was even somewhat close to the city. The Royal Guard promises to patrol the area. Even though that’s not the best for the clan leader, he does follow through on his promise and provides the Sirenian Ice-Stele, describing Siren armed techniques, and the Spiritual Channeling Stone, used in a ritual his clan no longer carries out.

The people of New Atlantis are also grateful these newcomers have discovered the leviathan was nearby and driven it off, giving their own gifts: the priestesses give the group a piece of Sacred Coral, while an artificer has the Pure Stream Bottle.

Notes: Items assuming a full party, some will not be present if not all members of the party are able to do the event now.

FOES

EC#1: Greater Froseal
A really big Froseal. Water/ice/wellspring. Not very threatening.

EC#2: Lesser Leviathan
One of Jormungandr’s kids. Just growing, and manipulated by Mori cultists into coming closer and closer to New Atlantis. Water/Unarmed. Tanky. Knows Tsunami.

ITEMS:

Sirenian Ice-Stele Event Material
“A large slab of densely inscribed magical ice. Passed down through the generations of one Atlantean clan, it is old enough that its writing can be difficult to decipher for modern scholars.

Studied with intent, however, it can be discovered that it describes techniques to link one’s mastery of water and their weapon together so fluidly that they become one art.

When the deciphered information is studied by a Sirenian with expertise wielding a melee weapon and water, they can gain crucial insight into the ancient techniques described.”
[ATLANTEAN ADVENTURE] [GRADE: B]

Pure Stream Bottle Event Resource
“An ornate glass bottle, containing a ‘perpetual stream’. The water within remains pure even when used to cleanse, and seems to always remain whole and flowing. A skilled artificer could likely integrate it with a weapon.

(This is a Special Resource. Face a non-unique weapon as a T1 artificer and left-click this item to transfer the stats over. Alternatively, can be used as a material in applications.)”
Bonus: +4 wellspring power
[ATLANTEAN ADVENTURE] [WEAPON RESOURCE]

Sacred Coral Event Material
“A large piece of specially grown coral, usually used by Sirenians for floating structures. This piece has not yet been infused by a priestess’s prayers. It has a strong connection to the depths of the ocean, giving off a faint blue glow when submerged in the dark.”
[ATLANTEAN ADVENTURE] [GRADE: C]

Priestess’s Ring [RING]
“A ring forged from underwater meteorite and supposedly blessed by Liveyal herself. It is engraved with a depiction of the first Mermaid, Galene. These valued rings are only given to those recognized as High Priestesses.”
Bonus: +5 vit, +1 cosmic def, +1 mana. Soulbound.
[ATLANTEAN ADVENTURE]

Leviathan’s Tooth Event Resource
“The tooth of a lesser ocean leviathan, one of the children of Jormungandr. The material is very strong, and the tooth remains sharp. Even though it has been parted from its owner, it maintains a strong capacity for adaptation.

Adaptive: Following appropriate roleplay, ticket for this object to gain +3 ele power in a sub affinity of choice (not the basic elements like fire, ether, physical, etc, but the sub-branches).

(This is a Special Resource. Face a non-unique weapon as a T1 artificer and left-click this item to transfer the stats over. Alternatively, can be used as a material in applications.)”
Bonus: +5 Crit
[ATLANTEAN ADVENTURE] [WEAPON RESOURCE]

Spiritual Channeling Stone Event Material
“A channeling stone once used in a clan’s efforts to link a Sirenian and their water spirit closely together by binding their mana circuits together. When used in the ritual, it was able to focus the spirit’s energies. Used properly, it could be used to carry out the dangerous ritual once more, or merely serve as an object to be studied.”
[ATLANTEAN ADVENTURE] [GRADE: C]

Sea Stone Event Material
“A beautiful jewel of the ocean, carried to New Atlantis by a Sirenian explorer. They’re highly valued by many Sirenian collectors.”
[ATLANTEAN ADVENTURE] [GRADE: D]

Various HQ fish and water-themed gatherables and potions.
