Fate...

She has always been one to ensure that nothing was merely left to coincidence. Every single motion we carry is decided by us, yet the result will always be decided by her guiding hand. Even now, everything that has been done within Meranthe, every decision...every war...every death? It was her. Each one was drawn as a single arcana, and what blossomed was the events.

And now...they have been drawn again, for a land that was known to be the home of the damned, unruly, and undesired.

On this day, the Fel is gathered to witness the result of a card that was drawn. The decision that follows, and what is to come next for the damned, unruly, and undesired. All because of a whisper from The Beast of Fate that simply lingers in their ear...

"We will not go quietly into the night..."

Death...

A single card that can have one strong name and yet an even stronger meaning. The card that means the ends of something and the beginning of something new...




Death...rebirth...is this not the cycle we all follow now? Is this not the cycle we will continue to follow? Fate's guiding hands simply twiddling her thumbs as things break and reshape.

Beautiful...is the destruction of a very beloved place, as it was a means to give birth to a startling sight.

Imperfection.

But that's not the end of this, is it? Will there be more? Of course. There is always more. There is always what comes after the reshaping.

As it stands, Skarnfel has fallen. The ground shattered, the buildings collapsing...and even more telling is the existence of a poisonous fog. All within-- those that lack magic will likely die a slow, agonizing death. Though as the fog prevails, the reason for it seems to be waiting right where conflict is meant to be. A smile on her face. Her mind partially shattered from the ordeal. Closer to mortal kind she has come, oh so close is she now. With a small force with her, they ready themselves for a dance.

For Skarnfel did not go out quietly into that sweet night, it went out with a resounding applause as the Shadowlands saw fit to birth one more Imperfect.
