TristamThe Last Temple of Aschea : Falenoris
#1
"I wonder if you all are from Falenoris? I remember some of our community sought to connect with one of the first children of Aschea there. That was around a hundread years ago now, but since before the turn of the millennium those Teraphim who went there never came back, do you happen to know any of their fates?"
...
"It was a place, a city that I've heard from those who returned. They said it overlooked Aschea's greatest mistake, the mistake she gave her life to not see happen to Esshar. In the heart of it all was a tall cylindric structure that is said to be the last place she visited before accepting her fate."
...
"And it was called, The Last Temple."

Until now, Aschea held little influence and popularity in between the Meranthian Pantheon. A Goddess dead for centuries already, with no active popular signs of her faithfulls, blessed, or nephilims. Through the years, the outcasted primordial's name faded bit by bits, as the rest of the Pantheon grew with more popularity.
But in this new century, as Chaos outgrows to place Meranthe and the Lifestream under the state of Dissonance, her name returns once more. An expedition lead by the Heavenly Blossom Church sent to the Vale has helped to retrieve an important relic belonging to the remaining Teraphims living in the sacred forest. A sacred staff who held Aschea's final breath : Lynsara. Such relic was seen during The Ritual of Life, Hope and Harmony which helped restoring Solais health and mend the Lifestream in the region back into Harmony. And by invoking the remaining powers within the staff even in a broken state, something was reborn within the Hamadryad. Yet, it still remains incomplete. There is still a lot to prepare.
To restore the Lynsara into its former self, scouts were recruited to seek any information on Falenoris, a city built within Meranthe centuries ago where the Teraphims seeked to meet the blessed of Aschea. Said to be the last place where Aschea stood before travelling to the Vale to interrupt the Coven's ritual and prevent the formation of another case of Shadowlands within Esshar.
Many questions are left unanswered, and hopefully, answers can be found. And ideally ? Whatever is left from Aschea's remaining influence can be found.
As the scouts return with the location discovered, there is one perticular threat remaining that has still yet to show up, seeking the same goal.

Name : Svengalf Sandsker
Attendees : I am estimating in between 5-10 people depending. From close relatives, to people directly involved in such matter, but also pupils interested to accompagny Svengalf in this expedition. Still gathering people.
Risk : Considering what is happening, this is certainly going to be a CoD event, or worse.
Theme : Aschea's and Teraphim's history, archeology. A follow up to the previous event "Journey into the Vale" and whatever is planned in between.
DM : Tyrea
Primary Goal : Restore "Lynsara, Aschea's Final Breath" to its former glory.
Secondary Goal : Acquiring dev materials that is related either to Aschea's faith, Teraphim's lore, Wayfinding, Spiritmancy, Druidism, etc.

"I feel like the world is shattering once more. Way worse than when Catildre shook the Lifestream within the continent by harnessing the power of Solais and the Runeoaks.
Something, or someone wants to change the fundaments of our faith and its composition that lasted for millenias. A Status Quo that has contributed in humanity's prosperity and survival.
And now, I can sense the quarels of the Pantheon. The strife resonating within the Spirit Realm. And Eternia bleeds and shatters in consequence as Vdali is at unrest.

We need to prepare for the worse, be ready to mend once more the world if it needs to be. We need to find whatever could be left of Falenoris before it is too late and forever disappear in history."

It has been decades since the Ritual of Life, Hope and Harmony which allowed to heal the Lifestream within Meranthe and beyond, caused by the calamity brought by Catildre. Such event has helped Azalea Aubreen to raise as a Primordial dedicated to Harmony, as a successor of Aschea. It is thanks to Lynsara, a sacred staff found in the Vale, said to hold the last remnants of Aschea's aether. Yet, it remains broken, but there is a place supposed to restore in its full strength within Falenoris, a settlement established within Meranthe by Teraphim's pilgrim wishing to meet her Nephilims, centuries ago.
Altough, it is not sure if such place is still existing after the Tower and the Runegates have been severely damaged. Yet, the Radiant of Life Svengalf persists, still sending scouts and even attempting to find a trace of such place.
The previous goals are still present, but new opportunities arrise in an attempt to save any legacy left by the defunct goddess.

Attendees : I am estimating in between 5-10 people depending. Could be big, depending on how many people would want to join his cause.
Risk : Considering what is happening, this is certainly going to be a CoD event, or worse.
Theme : Aschea's and Teraphim's history, archeology. A follow up to the previous event "Journey into the Vale" and whatever is planned in between. Updated now to take account of the current plot of Vdali and the Hollow world
DM : Tyrea
Primary Goal : Restore "Lynsara, Aschea's Final Breath" to its former glory.
Secondary Goal : Acquiring knowledge and material that involved Aschea's history before her death to discover the truth of her leave, and also any of her relation within the rest of the Pantheon and specially Vdali.
Third goal ? : Acquiring a very perticular artefact that shouldn't be in the hands of a very perticular group.

Okay, I wanted this response to be more elaborate response given the time I have been bounded to this event, but this was supposed to be posted 7/2/2024. The fact that I this took that long is indicative for the loss of that spark I once had, but I won't bore you with philosophical rambling that are most likely incorrected.

In short I am conceding the Last Temple. I made this choice when I couldn't get the commissions I needed for certain sprites, which rendered my plans impossible. After analyzing the plan, tatted and cut to the brink already as it was, I decided it wouldn't be worth it to not only run this event, but do everything I had planned including a second relay event , pages of a written story behind it, blowing money on commission and an angle patron at the very end, spent all this time I need for life stuff and run 16 minimal sessions between both events, only to achieve something that took me too long to realize was impossible.
-
The re-review of my denied Aschean Nephilim, a dream that dies here, a dream that even if I achieve it the world she was meant for has come and gone.

I would be willing to surrender my notes if a DM want's to run this as a normal event. They are stored within one note so if their is a way I can transfer them. I doubt they would want to do the labyrinth I had planned, but perhaps they could get ideas for what this was meant to be. I'd like to sincerely apologies to the players who were looking forward to this, especially Tristrain and the arc I extended for this. I doubt my credibility as a DM would recover, but at least for the first time in a few months, I am free from one shackle that has weighted upon me.

Though I have several more to free from myself before that spark can return, before I can create the one.
