In the darkest corners of the Shadow Lands, in the darkest caves there are many different creatures, goblins, and other monsters. While all are deadly on their own, none are as elusive and dangerous as a certain tribe whose path was paved in the bones of their enemies. Many other of the goblin clans in the area attempted to combat against these mad goblins as they terrorized the lands and absorbed other clans in their wake. Eventually, absorbing many clans and becoming a force in the likes that the goblin underworld had ever seen.

Tribe of Bástóir
The Bastoir, or simply Deatheaters, are a goblin tribe created of many different clans within. Though they lack much of a footing outside of the caves inside the Shadowland their domain is massive and their tribesman are plentiful. They terrorize their surroundings with several strike teams consisting of members of different clans within, moving as a single unit through the lands and subjugating others.
The tribe is known slightly outside of the Shadow Lands, having infiltrated caves and crypts around Meranthe, their affiliation however is hard to pin. Any goblin clan could be apart of the Bastoir and for those that are not currently assimilated, there is already a plan to change it.
Tribal Culture and Religion
While the tribe is a lose confederation of clans bounded together by conquest the clansmen are forced into a certain way of life as soon as they are assimilated. For those that do not fall in land are met with their deaths. Inherently the tribal members are Chaotic, leaving destruction as they move across their lands. The tribe and the clans within it are Shamanistic by nature, believing in the many spirits of the world and even utilizing them in rituals, forcibly if needed. The tribe is a warmonger people who are obsessed with combat due to their tribal focus on expansion.
The religion of the Shamanistic, Warmongering people is congregation of faiths that where worshipped before their conquering creating a very unique Pantheon of the Bastoir Tribe. The most widely worshipped amongst this group of vile creatures is the worship of an unground ice creature, who's imposing size and nature is just as chaotic as the goblins themselves, which the goblins call Spícoighear. This slumbering giant often wakes up and creates new caverns, destroying goblin constructs as it moves about the earth. The tribes celebrate every time Spícoighear wakes up, the wake of the destruction uncovering new ore and riches for the clans that are near, and though many deaths happen during these time frames the Bastoir hold the god in high regards. Along with Spícoighear there are several other gods that are worshipped in high regards. One being especially dark, invoked by the dark shamans in their rituals and prayers to bring death to the enemies of the tribe, The god of Death and Destruction Balor who the goblins believe lives in the moon. The last highly prevalent god in their pantheon takes the form of a greater spirit, a guiding force for the cultures Spiritual Shamans is an Idol named Aed, invoked when needing to commune with the dead and those that seek guidance.
The Bastoir deal with mourning in a specific way, attempting to mold the magical energy produced by the spirits of the world into their various crafts to allow them to work through their feelings. This is to create productivity in the otherwise sad and hindered, creating strength from the lost at hand. Their feelings are not something that is simply ignored, as it is utilized to heighten their crafts to new heights. If a Bastoir is not a crafter, it is common to seek one to allow the emotions to mold all the same.

The tribe believes and claims to have witnessed goblins evolving passed their current state in the past, great War Chiefs and more are attributed to this evolution. While goblins are small, a goblin that has went past their current state and evolved into what they call a Hobgoblin is about the size of a man or taller. Though, these Hobgoblin's have always differed depending on what form they take on when they evolve.
A Goblin Lord is a form of Hobgoblin that is a natural leader. These Hobgoblin's tend to quickly move in rank and gather massive amounts of troops under their belt, possessing powerful physical attributes and speed. When a Goblin Lord takes form, many of the goblin clan chiefs do not even attempt to argue with the new status que, accepting the new leader of the tribe. There is only ever one Goblin Lord inside the tribe at the same time, and if another takes form while the other one is active, they must duel to the death to decide who the new leader of the tribe will be.
A Great Shaman is the smallest of the Hobgoblins. These Great Shaman's have ascended into Hobgoblin through the means of their worship and magical might. They possess potent spells and abilities, their wisdom is sought often by the goblins below them. Great Shaman's can be Shamans of any of the Pantheon, Dark or otherwise.
A Frost Champion is the largest of the Hobgoblins, normally towering even that of a normal sized man. These champions have taken on the aspect of Spicoighear in both mind and body.
