After being spotted leaving The Gluttony's Maw, and many back and forth letters between Uriah and Akroma of The Frontier. A short period of time where there would be nothing but silence when it comes toward the intent with The Castle while everyone did their own work in silence, until it would be broken by one singular announcement presented by a man, carrying the distinct smell of death on him as he revealed his intent for all to see.

From our last exchange, a lingering sense settled deep within me.

 

A sense urging a choice to be made. After conversing with those close to my heart, my resolve to do what I must solidified. I could've opted to support you, aiding in defending the fortress whilst it remained an adversary to the world. I could've engaged in an endless, futile struggle, casting myself as a villain akin to you and my father. But I refuse.

 

The Castle holds significance for many, its memories and tales must endure long enough to last for a time beyond mine. The Maw is not a place for those who only know how to play the world's villain. It transcends that. It stands as a haven for kinship and a place for its own people to tell their stories however they may see fit.

 

My forebears - my father, grandfather, grandmother, great-grandfather, and great-grandmother - all told their distinct yet interconnected tales. Some may argue my decision forsakes them, that I oppose their legacy, that I tread a path far different from theirs. But I disregard such sentiments. I am not them, I am my own person, forging my own path as I walk through it. This remains immutable.

 

I choose to confront The Castle to preserve it, despite the inevitable backlash that I will have to face. No matter my decision, animosity will follow. Yet, I accept accountability for my decision. During our conversation, I presented you with an ultimatum, Surrender The Castle willingly or I will take it by force. I stand to the former. It was never a choice, but always an offer. You told me that the next time I'd come by with wishes to challenge you, I should bring an army? Then so be it. Though I sought to minimize it, bloodshed is unavoidable.

 

I, Uriah Dominic, hereby proclaim my intention to seize control of The Castle. Let our blades sing, and may the best man win."
