Across the ruins of the Barsburg Empire lay the Coalescence Towers. Incredible feats of engineering that house the souls and personality imprints of distinguished administrators, generals, and inventors alike. Once upon a time they each served as a nexus for the empire's administrative 'hivemind'. They now stand - the few that haven't completely collapsed, at least - as relics of a bygone age of technological enlightenment, and impressive feats of magitechnical engineering.

After compiling and vetting rumor upon rumor, Jaizara Ueda has come to a (two) conclusion(s). There must be something of use in the ruins of old imperial state. (And magitech is really freakin' cool!!!) Of all the dubious reports, a few things have stuck out to her:
• Coalescence Towers that contain technology capable of housing and utilizing souls and personas.
• Mechanized Magitech Infantry Units, rumored to be hulking behemoths of wartime engineering, likely deactivated but replete with advanced magitech components.
• Whispers of an old coven of techno-witchery, the Alumni, who may have managed to survive to this day.

With all of this in mind, and a terrible desire to explore ruins and pick through robots, Jaizara has planned a trip to the old empire.
