Springs arrives into a new cycle. The last mounds of snow thaw, as Nature awakens. Flowers and Trees begin to bloom. Animals leave their torpor after months of hibernation. The Weather becomes more gentle. People leave their homes to resume their exterior routine and physical labor. Fields and Forests are tended. Cattle is brought to green pastures.

Everything seems to be ordinary, isn't it ? Yet, the commoners seem to mention often this spring is unusually warmer and more gentle than last year. Animals are pretty tame and well behaved, more often than usual. And the flora has regrown faster than any averages. Despite the signs of wars in the horizon, could it be the sign of a bountiful year ? 

More weeks pass by. The populace seems eager to take those signs as a good augury for their works. Like a favorable wind against the sail. Speaking of winds, it seems also any mariners are striving in the seas. Strong, yet gentle warm winds soar through the Surface. Windmills work flawlessly. 

But not everyone seems to take this season as kindly as it looks like. Some people are sceptical of its effects. Meranthe has gone through a bunch of environnemental disasters through these past centuries. Often, with unusual symptoms showing before a calamity strikes.

What if those signs, were a foreshadowing of something to happen ? Would it be a blessing, or a curse to fall ?

Through all of these questions, a minor fraction of people of different origins and classes, from simple farmers, to scholarly botanists, decide to gather together to share their discoveries in between in these investigations. This effort extends to different factions and nations, to gather any opinion in regards of this season. 

But to those who are more gifted to otherwordly abilities beyond the physical realm, some of their dreams are taken over by a pale, bright green light, that pulses along with their breath audible. 

What could be the meaning of this vision ?...

Spring continues to strive freely, and to its whims. No snowy downpour of winter's leftovers to perturb Nature's awakening. No late cold temperatures.

In facts, it seems to be the opposite. Temperatures seem slightly higher than average. Plants and trees already have fully bloom earlier than expected. Some plants expected to bear fruits in summer, already have germinated. Animals have been also more energetic and eager than normal.  

While those oddities are harmless, the subject is often, casually brought in between the populace when its affects their ordinary days. Simple curiosity and wander 

But those who have been sceptical since the beginning, and some of the more attentive environnementalists, keep studying these events in an attempt to understand. Some speculations are starting to raise, rumors and accusations in regards of different sources of origins or consequences from these past centuries...

But those who find more concrete answers, are those who speak and understand the Wilderness and Nature of this world.

Among the pagan cultures of Meranthe, a region where the Pantheon has dominated the Faith and beliefs of its inhabitants, the arts of Druidism ressurface in popularity. Either through finding a new lifestyle to go through, detaching themselves from the norm, or an attachment to a vision closer to nature, Some adepts have recently tried to start resurecting this magic to a more common status, where Faiths and Beliefs are challenged. But those past centuries have degraded the once primal art of druidry into a niche pagan culture today.

Yet, their attempts have not gone unnoticed. Already, those attuned to the otherworlds, could feel these strange luminescent visions pulsing to their heartbeat during their sleep. Some of these new aspiring druids can see this same vision. Their heartbeat in tempo to the pulse. And their breath controlled by their brightness.

But sometimes, these visions become so intense, so bright, it can forcefully awaken the dreamer. Accompgnied with heart aches, and lung pains, as their respiration strained physically. And if it was not for these visions, it was also for a voice that sounds like theirs, but was not theirs, echoing in their dreams

"I see only acorns. Trying to find their grounds. Plant their roots. Become a sappling, to wish becoming an Oak. But is there any Land left, when Time has left it unkept ? I can offer you, the Soil of Knowledge you will till, and where you may grow and practice these arts. Should you want to seek answers to your visions and heal your ailment.

Gather with your peers. And seek where the Cherry Blossoms eternally live.

Spring draws near its end. Despite its oddities, many among the common people would share their sentiment that this season has been the best in a while in terms of comfort, but also in production. Many are looking forward to see how Summer shall behave.

Some people  of different backgrounds, yet with similar purposes, have received visions and heard voices beckoning them to a specific location. Priests, Spiritualists, Scholars, Arcanists, Naturalists, and even the recently founded Druids of the Acorn, have presented themselves. Reportedly entering the Tower of Aetius to find the meeting spot.

Arriving there, they were greeted by an invisible presence:

Through an omnipresent voice surrounding the guests, it presented themselves under the name of "Sylvester Galeland". Said to be an emissary of the Spirit Realm sent to assist the aspiring druids of Meranthe. In perticular, presenting themselves to be the Guide and Mentor for the Circle of Acorns, ready to teach and develop this new, recently growing form of magic who has been forgotten through time in these past millenias in Meranthe. He claims being responsible for the visions and calls they have heard.

Understandably, how reliable and correct may be these informations and claims can be debatted or doubted. Specially, from an invisible figure speaking within a floor in the Tower, who has suddenly appeared. Therefore, any details are blurred through rumors and personal biais from those witnesses.
But mentions of what is exactly Druidism, how it differs from Faith such as Nemea, what is happening in Meranthe lately and how its future may be, why this magic is only resurfacing now, and why only a few select people are able to manipulate right now, have been the spotlights of this encounter.

Questions with answers that have picked curiosity in some towards the Circle, to be willing to join.

The Spirit showed interested to meet these druids once more, and discuss more of these mentionned subjects in another time. It announced that it shall return once more in this realm, to tell the history and origins of druidry, and introduce to the understanding of Lifestream, Leylines and Vitae, as part of the first lesson.

It seems that the Spirit manifest only through specific occasions within the Realm. But to those who have presented themselves and became part of the Circle of the Acorns, they may receive in private tutoring to help catching on subjects aspiring druids may struggle with. But for those without the powers of druidism, they would need to find a way to beckon the Spirit in private.

It has been three years since this unusual bountiful Spring happened. As the commoners have perceived this season to be a good omen, many were skeptical.
While through the year, Meranthe has been more fertile than usual, with a record in harvests, a fraction of the populace have fallen sick with many related blood issues. And among them, some have been able to awake an ancient primal magic back : the arts of Druidry.

Through these past 3 years, these newly awakened druids have explored their newfound powers. Either on their own, or through the mentorship within Circles. The Populace has witnessed unusual gatherings on the Mount Pavonis or in other fields of Meranthe, ritualistic circles where a well of glowing green energies could be seen at some point.

Some people mention that their rituals had something in relation of the Lifestream. Some mentions about Balance too. Some would even say they were draining the magic of the land. Whatever they have accompished is a mystery exactly. But one thing is certain, it seems that the Seasons have returned to an usual behaviour, against some expectations of calamitous events.

While there are reports of less people falling sick, those who are able to manifest the druidic powers have not lost their adaptation. For most of them, their organism have changed to accomodate this new form of magic. Some of these changes are visible, from leylines visible on the skin, or bits of flora growing on their bodies or unusual growths on a body part. Others do not display such externally.
Scholars of magic still notice that there is still higher concentration of mana in the air than previous years, but it is now more stable. For now.

Meranthe has undoubtly changed once again with the reapparition of this magic. But for now, Winter provides a restfull respite.

It has been almost 6 years since the first anomalies within Nature have appeared, coming at the same time with the arrival of druidic magic. The efforts from the druids through the first years have been able to appease those seasonal abnormalities. Some thought that this problem was solved, until the Cosmos seems to be torn apart, as the nights are becoming longer and longer. An Omen beyond the Cosmos that ponders many scholars and foresighters : what will become of the future ? 

But as Winter settles, the season shows to be unusually colder than the average. Heavy snowfalls appearing early. And despite this, the forests blanketed in the cold diamond dust still blared with life, both in the seen and unseen planes. Despite being the season of Rest and Hibernation, the Wilderness is not asleep. Druids and other oracles of Nature can feel this agitation. It seems like the Land is about to retaliate. Nature won't be so kind anymore in the coming months. Specially to the places where the Leyline inflatuate.

While some could sense this as a warning or a danger, others could find it as an opportunity : People witness to have seen out of the ordinary events within the wilds. What could they find ?

I have been given permission to "spice" up the annual Leylines Communion. If you have a group interested to have some events "out of their control" for these kind of scenes, you are free to DM me in advance on discord so we can set a date ! (@tristrian).

Those kind of events are very small, similar to bounty hunting kind of events. However they have an inherent risk. Depending on the numbers and RPL, the threats range from agressive to dangerous ones. Who knows what you will face.

I will take at minimum groups of 3 druids for such, but I encourage getting larger groups.
