It is also upon this hour that a masked figure would be escorted from the Halls of the Oracle, either through the bands of soldiers or others from the army for breaking and entering, and potentially treason. Alas, taking over a nation is sadly more work than merely strolling into a room and declaring yourself so, especially in the Holy-Nation of Aphros where the Oracles role is law. 'Change' has yet to be found in her advisors and those who run the nation, especially for a dragon swamped in paperwork with farms flooded with salt-water, from the rising of tides and the touch of coming famine...

A response would eventually come, rumbled out in lettered words rather than physical presence for now.

...I have no idea what is going through your mind right now, Skinwalker, but I do not enjoy you giving me even more paperwork at these times. What is of your faith, what is of your loyalty? I seem to find it far lacking. No, you are not Oracle. The position does not work like that, it hasn't since Lydia with her crown, and it will most likely not continue with you for a tradition I have no inclination of starting. If you have issues with my leadership you are always free to tell me, but forgive me if I'm not ready to hand over the role to one who now breaks every tenet of the faith he and I holds, who has an unnatural affixation to times long lost, and didn't even care to talk to me for what in time I may have been far willing to pass.

So let it be for the bridges you desire to burn, you will find them in my case not fixed easily.
But if Athelios must judge? I am ready to stand my merits as a leader far next to yours.

Unless any more action are taken, the state would exist within an uneasy stalemate, the Oracle still at its head. Some that may hold a few months, until the dragon is free enough from her paperwork to respond in person... Or something else happens to change it all.

No public drama, but I do not entirely appreciate not having the OOC courtesy for waiting just 3-4 days, because I told you and you did know, and letting it sit for that long would not be ideal! Anyways, peace for a couple days!)

It is alleged the old Knight of the Astra 'Garret Lightgloom' has taken guard of the throne.
There is no accurate transcript of his words, but the general sentiment seems to be "I'd never let a sinner take the title of Oracle!"
Erecting a perfect castle wall around the seat, he encloses himself in a jail of his own making, bewildering his squires.

Won't he starve to death?

It is rumoured the Knight has finally let up his vigil.
    

Some say the statue of Athelios suddenly animated, demanding he move elsewhere.

Some say a fairy flew through the halls, feeding him so much pie he began to miss his wife's cooking. 

And some say it was, in fact, all down to a little concern and convincing - how long can a man stand in front of an empty throne?
