The first trials to be held and hosted by Kindlehelm under Minister Miyashita T. Talalt.

What is the Yamimae trials? A test of one's best skills to be shown publicly to your superiors, friends, family, & hopefully new friends!

Who is the trials meant for? Combatants, researchers, scholars, field medics.

Where will the trials take place? The Shadowlands.

What is being measured? Everything! Every action you take while within the trials has a potential to be something that can earn you positive or negative points.

How will it work? Proctors from each nation's highest rankings will be observing participants as they fight against rival teams, conduct research, perform field study and medical aid. 

How do I win? In these trials the objective is not so much to win as it is to show off your capabilities for chance of reward, promotions, involvement in special projects, and more. However, there will be a top scoring team and top scoring individuals which will be recognized for their stellar performance.

Which nations are participating? Kindlehelm, Stonehaven, Prythian, Fortune, Gloomlight, Arcadia, & Sanctuary.

[If you are not available for at least one of these two dates I apologize, these were the best dates for the majority. You do not have to be present both days unless you wish to score as many points as possible!]

**If you are a bad guy or hostile magical beast your presence is very welcome OOCly, however understand that ICly you are likely to be met with a hoard of violence from participants!!!**

IC Rules

• Participants are not permitted to hide their mana signature unless they are actively using a spell or potion to hide their presence. (i.e. do not have /incognito turned on)
  
• Participants are not permitted within Sanctuary’s borders during the trials.
  
• Participants are not permitted to lock tents.
  
• Combat is not permitted inside of tents.
  
• Participants are permitted to bring anything and everything gear wise they would like in preparation for their time in the wilderness so long as it does not break any laws of the participating nations collectively.
  
• Participants are not permitted to leave the Shadowlands during the trials (but may leave after the training time comes to a pause at the end of the OOC day until it resumes the next day or if you need to log out early).
  
• Participants are requested to not perform fights which would put another’s life at risk through permanent injury. We aren’t here to leave each other maimed, this is a training exercise.
  
• Participants are expected to respect the preservation of the lands, most especially Aquantio’s grove during their time in the trials.
  
• Hiring other individuals to take your fights is not permitted. Wealth is not a measurement we are testing in this exercise.
  
• Proctors will have notepads to tally points earned with a short note of how they earned it (to prevent duplicate points). Proctors are permitted to use invisibility potions/hide mana signatures and hide their mana signatures to stealth observe teams in action.
  
• You cannot flee a battle by entering Aquantio’s grove.
  
• You cannot camp inside of Aquantio and staying inside of the grove is only permitted for as long as you are performing a rite of some manner. Rest post battle must be taken at your team's camp.
  
• All participants must keep their 'PARTICIPANT' arm band on at all times.
  

OOC Rules

• If you are late to the trials please find a proctor so that they can assist you in finding your team.
  
• If you must leave early from the trials please notify a proctor.
  
• Please put PARTICIPANT in your mini profile description if you are participating and PROCTOR if you are proctoring.
  
• Please do not use incognito unless you have a spell/potion to hide it since this will make things easier for proctors to track, this is a large scale event.

Alright, everyone!

We have our tallies.

Some of the highest honors should go to those whom fought the real threats to Meranthe while out in the field. Odile cleansed an affliction infringing upon the Aquantio grove. Paloma and Jinx fought against Guignol witches and forced them to flee through rift! Very good job all three of you.

Jun and Daphnis performed the most research study while Nymphaea offered the most healing to others including her opponents.

Cypress, Juketsu, and Jahsh's teams worked together to form an alliance of which was- not expected at all during these trials and was very unique and impressive way to solve problems!

There was a total of twenty seven noted battles which occurred during these trials of which the most were engaged by Cassius and Osyris with the closet third being Cypress.

The most impactful leadership shown was displayed by Cassius, Nymphaea, and Paloma despite that he had a difficult team- whom had multiple disqualifications.

There was only three participants whom lost points during the trial. Osyris, Leone, and Garetta.

Lastly, while she is not here currently I would like to recognize the bravery of Selene for working with a teammate of which she was absolutely terrified of before this trial. A test of which she passed greatly.

All of these rankings will be posted up on the Trials Results for you to review your scores. Should you have questions for proctors they are capable now to answer your questions but we will not be assuring how many points each thing scored you but instead can give you feedback on your performance!

As stated from the beginning of these trials, they were not meant to test merely combat capabilities. Measure was taken across the board for every decision made throughout the trials to test your team work, problem solving, integrity, and overall to show what you were best at.


I am very happy that so many participated and should your scores assist you in being reviewed by your nations for promotion or reward- but most of all! I hope that many of you found new friends through the process!
