amidst a crowded tavern somewhere a young fishmonger has found themselves being approached by a local sailor, telling them tales of a secluded spot on the open seas where it's been rumoured that an abnormally powerful sea creature has been known for capsizing ships and drowning sailors that were foolish enough to try and make a living by fishing the unusually saturated area.

this was enough to entice the fisherwoman to tally up a group of fellow magi in order to pursue what appears to be the biggest catch one could hope for. after days of gathering her crew they'd set out to sea to see if the fabled sea creature has been more than the imagination of witnesses or if it was truly a real threat to those threading the southern seas.
