What happens when instead of coming out safe, you take a walk deeper into the unknown with nothing to lead you but youthful ambition and a torch?

An aspiring Arcanist seeks to find the source of Briarwoods origins after having researched its properties, hoping to find the oldest and most prominent of them all. Those with the most arcane energies. Even more than that, though, a deep and potentially dark history. A trek deep into the forests in search of something grandiose with life on the line and the chance to do something grand for their people as a whole, trudging tenaciously through treacherous terrain in pursuit of one goal.
Yet it all has to start somewhere.

So begins an expedition to the center of the Shadowlands, started with the interests of one and carried on the backs of few.
