On a whim while trying to offer a small kindness to the Duchess Emeritus during her retirement, Izmael had gotten her a subscription to Fishing Monthly Magazine: A gesture of goodwill after the many mishaps and tragedies that had befallen her over the decades. Clearly the gesture was well-received, as he had been sent back the correspondence that Melionette had been intending on sending into the publication.

Though the most recent one was something that caught the Duchess Emeritus' ruby eye.

The Duchess had gone missing, suspiciously around the time of this most recent letter. What had been a fun gift had clearly been an invitation to Melionette's doom: To hunt this colossal, ancient creature. But why? For what purpose? What could she possibly gain from wanting to do this- For risking her life all for this one thing?



... Oh no.

A creature large enough to swallow land, consuming subaquatic caverns that had never seen the light of day... No. Was that what she was doing all of this for?

Did Melionette get eaten, dragged into... The Belly of the Whale? For a Flower?

There was only one option available to him: He must jump in after her if need be.
