| Suggestion to Block |

Let us discuss block, as it is currently in the game.
Right now, block is 25%+ damage (or 33%, if that wasn't fixed), meant to be used more as a last resort defense, than a complete block. (Not sure if the +25
However, it isn't much, when used to block moves that you can't otherwise avoid (either because they are homing, or you were CCed in a way that would not allow to dodge).
When it was 66%, however, there were complaints about sustain builds, which relied on using their sustain, activating their abilities and then block until the cooldowns end to win fights, which is a valid complain.
My suggestion is this, then:
Instead of block being a +x% DR that you can activate at any time and without any CD, and hold it up to infinite, to instead make it a more skill-based block.
Add in a CD, add in a maximum limit of how long you can hold on to the block (could be even just a second, or half a second), and increase the +X% DR, depending on either how long the CD is. (Somewhere between the 100%-75% range I think?)
That way, I think it can resolve both issues: Allow people to use block at the right moments where they are about to get hit without being able to avade, and still not allow sustain builds to rely on constant blocking to hits.
Not going to post numbers here myself yet, but you are welcome to discuss this here- I am simply bringing it up as a possibility for block.

Yall gotta do sumn bout this spell. When it first came out it was overtuned for sure, but now? The damage is average at best, the CD is high, it’s GCD and the stun can’t even be used because it ends before GCD is finished. The only way you can get a proper hit off is maybe you slow the opponent before using lariat. What’s the point of a stun if it doesnt set you up for something good afterwards?
As for a suggestion, increase the stun by 0.5 seconds

The Therian Code
A set of Guidelines that are encouraged to follow and is the standard of honor. Those outside Theria may or may not be offered the same respect and honor by the code.
- Any slight between Guilds must be settled by ranking officials of the involved guilds.
- War or open conflict between Therian Guilds must only come after a meeting between their leaders. Hostilities that escalate to that level should show respect to Therian diplomacy.
- Any Guild of Theria operating outside of Theria represents themselves only, they are not to represent Theria or claim to.
- Parley - When called by a sigil bearing member of a guild, the request should be respected no matter the circumstance, even hostility, and negotiations should begin within <two OOC days>. If called in hostility, the initiator can be taken captive, but must not be harmed until negotiations end. A higher ranked officer of their guild should also be notified before the negotiations end. Breaching Parley by harming the initiator is considered dishonorable.
- Palaver - When Parley breaks down or is abused, it is considered Palaver. Palaver is a mark on the guild at large, not just the offender. Having Palavers on your guild is an ugly mark on a guild and weakens all guild members to the claim of Parley. The offenders of Palaver should be disowned to maintain the reputation of the guild.
- Guild Sigils should be returned to their Guilds, either by giving the sigil to the Council of Warlords in confidence, or by directly returning it to the Guild in person.
- A Therian guild is a way of life. A collective purpose, not a vehicle to personal gain. A guild that’s any less is just that, not equal.
- A disowned Guild Member has lost their honor. Grand acts must be performed to reclaim that honor.
- No Therian shall ‘double-dip’ in their commitments to a Guild. It is the opposite of Therian honor.

The First Labor
Quote:The Lion.
It is a symbol of Essharan culture. The very essence and shape of the stars they shape of Leonaus, the constellation forming a powerful presence above in the sky. There is pride, strength, and wisdom in such a creature, and the stars are to be revered.
But there are some things that are corrupted. Bastardized in ways, blackened and twisted to form something far more evil. It is not the call of the stars, but something equally otherwordly. Darkness and shadow, the void between the stars that would seek to cause harm against those of Osrona. Neighboring villages and townspeople found first cattle and livestock eaten. Then, their children and loved ones. A massive hunter that preys on the living, regardless of the stock or breed.
It is the duty of the Order of First Light to be the shield. Even moreso, in times of tragedy, the sword. A small segment of brave souls must move to quell an encroaching darkness the nearby villagers have named 'The Nemean'.
The Hunt begins.
Character/Key: Berrios Falstaff, #Aene1623
Attendees: Knights of the Order, close friends invited to the hunt.
Tone: Monster Slaying, heroic and dark.
Risks: CoI/possible CoD

| Chronicles of Esshar |

Chronicles of Esshar is a collaborative roleplaying game with realtime, action combat, crafting, hundreds of abilities, guilds, housing, a player run economy, and many other features that enhance and enrich the focus on storytelling and character development. Our community consists of hundreds of active roleplayers that are the driving force behind the various factions, contributing to the developing narrative of the lore rich world.
It is strictly roleplay, designed with that in mind: The characters age over time, and engaging in conflict has the chance of permadeath. When you roleplay with other characters, you automatically gain EXP and gradually level up. As you contribute to the story (perhaps through a guild or events) you'll also have the opportunity to develop rare abilities, defining your character further.
Lore
Esshar - The setting / country, information on the founding and general history of the country, as well as its customs.
Eternia - The world in which the Universe is set. The different planes, continents, and countries. For the most part, this is irrelevant to your playing experience, as the focus is on Esshar.
Timeline - A timeline of important world events. It is currently late into the 16th century.
Magic - A general overview of magic. The Elements, Metaphysical, the Arcane, and Casting Styles.
How To Play
To join the roleplay, download the game using the installer: http://chronicles-of-esshar.com/download...Esshar.exe
It's less than 60MB. You may need to make an exception for your firewall and anti-virus, however, if that causes issues.
Once installed, you'll be able to open the launcher. You should then register an account by clicking 'Login' in the top left, or you can join as a guest to check things out (but your character won't save).

When making a new character, you'll be able to choose which starting location. As of writing this, it's Moonfall (Witches and Druids), Osrona (Knights and Priests), and Theria (Viking-esque raiders). Afterwards, you'll select your race: humans, drakanite (partial dragons), or beastkin (partial animals). Then you can choose your name, general appearance, and spawn into the world.

"The sun was blotted out by black ash, and the air was on fire. We watched as our great city was rocked by tremors and collapsed around us, but we fought. We fought and fought. Until the demons were forced back into their storybooks, monsters and myths for mothers to scare their children to behave with. That was over fifty years ago... and it changed the world forever."
The year is 1730AC.... the past fifty years were eventful: The Reckoning of Great Dragon Garljing, the decline of the Essharan empire, and the coming of Aschea.
The country was in a state of recovery from the attacks of the Elysium Coven and the demonkind, the last battle between the people and the creatures of the night having taken place directly in Osrona, where the demons harnessed a ritual that spread concentrated plague lands throughout the city, turning stone to rust. The defenders, while victorious, lost much of Osrona to the attack and hundreds of thousands of more were killed. Following this event, the impact sent ripple effects that would motivate opportunists to declare independence during the turmoil, with much of the country no longer unified.
This gradual decline led to the rise of independent kingdoms, and all was at risk when the Empire of Barsburg attacked. After settling into a ceasefire with its longtime enemy, the Empire of Aen, the expansionist nation set its eyes on the entirety of Esshar. One by one, territories fell to the invaders and those that remained had to fight tooth and nail to force them back, losing lives and wealth in the process.
Many blamed the unwillingness of Theria and Osrona to ally against the threat, and Myllenoris for doing all but nothing - likely because at the time the King of Osrona had made it clear that he didn't trust the Teraphim, who he saw as invaders from another realm, having felt disrespected by them and looked down upon for being 'human'. Theria had also been responsible for attacking and pillaging the minor territories that Myllenoris safeguarded. Despite their reasonings, the war was indisputably catastrophic for all.
Several prominent Dragonlords of Theria died. The Petrakis King, Aristidis Petrakis, also died in battle, leaving the young, inexperienced heir as the monarch, and the Lightbringer was dealt grievous wounds that forced him into an early retirement.
Each of the Three Kingdoms look upon one another with warranted suspicion. Occasional conflict on the borders was all but guaranteed, but not outright war. Yet.
Factions & Starting Points
Osrona, the Shimmering City
The renowned capital of Esshar, the home of the Petrakis nobility and the Order of the First Light. The base of the dwinlding Essharan empire, all eyes of the people are on the young Petrakis heir after the death of their father (who was considered especially inept), the Knights, and the Church of the Faith in these trying times.
Expanded Lore
Theria, the Kingdom of Dragons
Since Garljing the Red took his place in the mountains of Theria, the north has been populated with his children and many Drakanites. With a number of Warlords and Dragonlords, many look to their next steps. The most ambitious simply look to the south and wish to take it all for themselves.
Expanded Lore
Myllenoris, the Kingdom of Vanaheim
Born with insight and a keenness, the Teraphim often considered themselves the ones who should lead humanity. Their ties with the outside world are in dire straits, however, leaving them particularly isolated. Their influence on the world will surely be tremendous, and they must make the difficult choices going forward.

“All I’m sayin’... I can’t promise that I won’t steal anythin’.”
“Well, yer a right prick sometimes, aren’t ya?”
Participants: Royal Corvinus, Evan Lockway.
Contact Information: oyedboats#1671
Synopsis: After finding the Dragon statue that watches Theria from its chilled peaks, Evan Lockway found himself enraptured in the idea of being able to meet one of the great beasts- to maybe become more in-tune with his primal mana. While Royal was enraptured at the idea of robbing said dragon blind. Which earned him a few bonks of the head.
Yet despite their disagreement, they both wished to see if they can forward their own goals and honestly? Have a damn adventure- crazy and action packed! As Bumpkins are one to want. Royal managed to hear whispers of a cult of sorts in the mountains that are trying to get closer to such a beast. Evan’s attunement to mana itself and his drakanite sense of smell helped him get a trail to follow. Hoping to come across this cult of the dragon they possibly wish to worship or become closer to the two set off.
Tone: Cult-like, Adventurous, Dangerous
Risks: Medium or high CoI
Requests: A Draconic Energy-based necklace and a gem of sorts. These can be fully discussed and looked over when the DM is found.

"You're under arrest for assault, attempted murder, cooperation to murder the Exarch as well as affiliation with criminal elements."
Quote:Recently, a multitude of attacks have taken place in Osrona, individuals being lured off, caught alone, or otherwise vulnerable have been victims of violent assault. Broken bones, knife wounds, and bruised egos are all common themes, but a signature mark of a brutal bite upon the neck has accompanied nearly all cases. The perpetrator of these crimes has been identified as a petite girl, wearing an almost absurd outfit of black leather, belts, and knives. This was revealed when she came to clash with Exarch Nerin near the central park of Osrona. Through some twist of fate, she escaped capture, and is still at large within Esshar.
She is known to be extremely brash, and unafraid of conflict with Knights or Watchmen. Multiple, severe charges have been pressed against the unknown girl.

On the eve of Year 1674 (Friday the 31st from 5PM EST onwards), there's going to be a festival held on the bridge west of Osrona.
The same place as the Summer Festival held by Iris Arsali years prior.
The Festival of Asatan is a Rhoynish event that celebrates the patron spirit of several clans: Asatan. She stands for life and freedom and is revered like a goddess of the people.
It'll include singing and dancing, with rumours of Melody the Bard and Lady Priscilla cos Solenne performing.
There'll also be face painting, food supplied and lots of alcohol as is the norm for Rhoynish culture.
Unlike the noble galas, the festival is a social gathering that'll last for several hours with no entry cost and no single major event planned but instead constant activities throughout the day.
The most notable being up to 5 versus 5 martial contests for magi on the grass west of the bridge; and other athletic events, like arm wrestling, races, etc.
There's no need for referees to start, only consenting parties. You're encouraged to begin whenever ready.
Rhoynish from throughout Esshar are said to come and it's an open invitation from Osrona through to Theria.
A personal invite has been sent to House Grimmore. No such invite has been given to the House Astor and House Pelleaux, though they're welcomed to attend.
Due to past tensions between the Rhoynish and the Order of the First Light, the First Light has been asked to come off duty and in plain clothes.
The event has been organised by Demosthenes Dayndros.
((Time might be changed to Saturday if that's a more convenient time but will be updated if that's the case.))
