Synopsis: Through whispers of old and new, of humans and Druids... Of Spirits to some. The existence of an isolated 'Garden' seated within a World Tree has resurfaced to few. It had been rumored only the most mythical, and earthly-attuned, creatures have, and will, ever resided here. From Fae, to guardian beasts, to Higher Druids who commune with far greater spirits than one could imagine - some say even the Divine, Asena. The Garden gained its name due to a certain group of adventurers who'd once been graced with a stray drop of one of the many waterfalls and rivers flowing throughout the land, on the verge of death from the journey there, all of which had been restored from otherwise mortal wounds. Or so they say. Flowing White Oil, how could they even achieve this?
However, a single roaming adventurer claimed to have noticed... a group. A group of hooded beings, possessing some sort of luminous artifact, passing into the thicket which enshrouds that World Tree - in the thick of night. Ever since then, signs of decay have started to show, and grow. Primarily the Druids residing around the Tree have taken note of this - perhaps the spirits were, and are, disturbed. Perhaps this threatens the entirety of that Garden's existence. Not known as a job request, mayhaps Holly Hargrave had stumbled upon a faint plea of lesser spirits in meditation. The only thing that is certain, is that she plans to investigate; ascend the World

Tone: Lore-rich, Mysterious, Ethereal, Serious, Dark. Magical creatures, Fairies, Druids, Occultists, etc...

Rewards: Further Nature Dev. off of the 'Higher Druids'. The goal is to reach the center of the forest and climb the World Tree in the process of providing their aid to the Garden. Some artifacts and materials along the way, White Oil, perhaps a Nature-aligned Weapon. Potential for follow up events, in pursuit of further knowledge/development.

Synopsis: Ludovica Maria and her pal Alviva Karnstein are wandering about the woods. Until suddenly they can hear what sounds like some sort of explosive device going off. Dashing to the area of the sound,the two are stunned to see a half-alive hunter fighting a bear enraged with the influence of illusion magic by a hooded man near by. Deciding its only right to take arms both Ludovica and Alviva attempt to aid the hunter!

As it stands, I personally believe Unarmed, while not being the worst thing to exist, also isn't the greatest. Depending on what you couple it with, it can be decent to use, or a nightmare. Standalone, the tree is not all that good in my opinion though and is more or less, dull to fight with, easy to predict with how the tree is lain out and doesnt really have much of a gimmick compared to its former self.
I think a few things could be done with it really
-Lariat: While being informed that it does have a stun, has only a half a second one, compared to what it did before and for a skill that triggers GCD, makes it ineffective to combo with and rather unrewarding for an intermediate spell or even as something that could serve as something to finish off a combo, that aside from that and (maybe?) damage, is basically just flying kick thrown into the tree a second time.
-Lariat should either, get an increase in stun time, it's the only one the tree has but that aspect is mostly obsolete now or have some kind of replacement or other tweak.
-Weighted Punch: Make it GCDE again, even if it means decreasing it's damage by a bit and maybe remove the fact that it to, is a dash. The GCD ruined a good bit of combo potential it had and rather as something for a combo opener, or something to allow the continuation, at most it will allow you to use, a single move while having to backpedal while it has GCD.
-Alternative if GCD is kept, increase the time it slows and gives -DR.
-I seen a rather decent suggestion tossed out for a move that could instead of dragging someone with you, knock them away(like galeforce but not being a ranged projectile) and use this as a replacement or addition to the tree and something to act as more of a finisher. Lack of variety is something Unarmed suffers from a lot in my opinion and having some replacements, or tweaks would do the tree some good.
Those are the ideas I have currently for something to improve and restore the tree that got nerfed quite a bit back when spells were a lot more scarce, stuns needed to be tweaked(because you could chain stuns and unarmed was quite broken between tackle and flying kick alone at that time) and most people used fairly similar magics unless they apped before the magic changes.

While I love the idea of Umbral cloak and I'm glad Illusion, or one of its sub-trees has gotten an aura it feels underwhelming. Even when compared to a few of the public tome skills I feel it's not quite up to snuff- even more so given the fact that you have to dev and apply for the tome.
Umbral Cloak right now is:
+10% AP, with a special that gives +50% DR for 3s (35s CD)
+10% is the same amount as the base aura and, while the DR boost is nice, the cooldown is pretty long.
Then compared to other auras:
Expedience (Gravity)
Aura. +10% AP, +10 vitality. Special: Three swirling projectiles that deal light damage and 0.5s stun on-hit.
Transcendence (Time)
+30 Power, passive heal, light MP regen
Plasma Aura (Plasma)
+10% AP, +20 crit. Plasma trail while moving
While it can be sometimes difficult to compare an aura that gives bonuses of different kinds, I felt these were close enough examples to offer some comparison. All of these are public trees and, in my opinion, seem to be more substantial than the Umbral Cloak; the Cloak's CD on its special is pretty long, the duration fairly short, and the AP percentage only equal to the base aura.
