GOVERNMENT REFORMS

• Large shifts in ranks are set underway as the Order stirs. Leadership structures are changed, with the arrival of Sarina Mellows on the seat of Captain-General. Agne Talalt leaves her position as Faith-Captain to become the new Archbishop, an advisory role. In her vacant place, Anya Talalt becomes the new Faith-Captain, a new title of Vicar-General. Gabriel Richter remains the War-Captain, in charge of the Militant Wing.
  
  
• Soon after the 50th anniversary of the Republic, Garret Richter, the previous Archbishop and leader of the Martyr's Vigil, has been confirmed dead. His death was a ritual killing during a dinner by one of his companions using a blade--the intent of such not clear, though it was witnessed by many friends and family. The new High Chancellor of the Republic after Nix Bargiel's death is currently unknown.
  

ADDITIONS AND CIVIL REFORMS

• Before the departure of the current Faith Captain, the Tribunal receives its own reforms. While not currently present in the Primer, there is talk of a new Patron being added. The Goddess of Destruction and Change, Vinaska. What tangible effects to be had on the Order as is up to debate--yet the Wards of the Tribunal say an updated version of the Primer is soon to release, with proper additions and edits to the tome to come.
  
  
• Proper funding sees the Vigil expand at large. The wall overlooking the Shadowlands, previously to keep the Empire known as Skarnfel at bay, finds itself finally complete. Though there may not be a direct threat from that direction, it is a statement to the Martyr's Vigil capability to Endure. The Castle-City transforms into a Castle-Kingdom, work upon public structures making its way to reach the Northern Wall created in the times of Extinction only a few decades ago.
  
  
• New recruits wishing to join the Militant Wing or Faith Wing are continued to be sought. Sorcerers seeking to join the Order are advised to contact the Captain-General, and people wishing to help with the crafts are to contact Anya Talalt. The Knight-Order continues its efforts to be both the Shield and Sword of the Republic; continuous preparations being one of them.

-- The Continuation of courses has gone underway, with talks of multiple campuses being constructed across the mainland, specificaly in Altharim and in Caethir    -- A sound off to the non-magi of the land has been made, with an influx of travelers and paupers coming to the island in the hopes of becoming Sorcerers. The Last Head of the Hydra

Following the Republic of Paritas' decisive blow against the Crescent Isle and the Nation of Pscaela upon it, seeing the entirety of the Isle fall beneath the ocean's fury, the Civitas Hydraea has been dissolved. Refugees numbering in the thousands travel north towards the City of Art, the last bastion of true freedom of expression holding together in the wake of the crusade which succeeded in severing many heads of the fel serpent.

The Martyr of Mydaea, having taken the name of Rafael, makes a proclamation for all to hear.

Many of you have found yourselves robbed of a home, by those who raise a blade of petty vengeance and subservience to tyrants and call it righteous. What is left in the wake of their acts? Progress? Nothing has changed. Nothing built from the ruination; only destruction, without change, without a new image left in its wake. Guardians of an old order, stagnant and rotting from the inside out, while they fail to realize the stench of decay coming from beneath their own shackles.

To you, those who yet remain:

There is a place for you, here. Your creativity and thirsts for knowledge shall be unbound, and perhaps you shall take the opportunity to join us in earnest. ✧ Following the destruction of Pscaela, many of its inhabitants find refuge within the City of Art. In the wake of this, it is pushed nearly to capacity in regards to living accomodations. When I arrived to this land, now almost 2 centuries ago, a younger me would have never in a million years expected this to happen. A younger, brighter, and foolish woman that took a chance on a city and its people, and loved what she saw. And so she grew, and so the years passed to decades, decades turned into centuries, and centuries turned into now.

Even still, after all this time, I love Aphros and its people. Those who I have tended to from child to adult for generations, watching Oracle by Oracle pass by, changing the world and my city with their own unique touch. The blur of life and potential is one I will never get sick of, its dance that stretches back and forth in a thick history, adorned on the tapestry of our people that weaves itself longer and brighter even now. I have served my Noble Duties in that Thread of the Civilization for a very long time, but times change.

Following Recent Events the crown has fallen from the head of the Cowboy King and landed upon the Eldest son of the previous King and Queen Ragnar E. Sun. Upon taking the throne he shared these words with his citizens on the war that has landed itself on their doorstep. 

"We are once again being marched on by those that see us as weak. Comparing us to nothing but a pile of dirt to be destroyed. Let them come. We will not go down without a fight. Stand tall and proud of your brothers and sisters in arms and give it your all. We will all fall together or rise above this and bring about something better."

Soon after the words from the new king was shared papers were posted up around the city and in other cities detailing projects relations and other details for the city going forward for if the city survived the war on its doorstep.

• Work has started on a waygate between Altharim and Fortune a long time goal that has finally started to see the light of day. Anyone that wishes to help on the project is welcome to contact Ragnar E. Sun to discuss it. Work may continue even if the city falls only time will tell.
  

• A training session between the fighters of Altharim and those that wish to help the nation stand against Aetius or just practice and push themselves is scheduled to begin in the coming months. The fel and those of Aetius are excluded from the event for obvious reasons.
  

• The new academy building for the Arcanum has been built and plans for a grand opening have been discussed however due to the current events the date is undecided.

In the wake of Aetius' declaration against Altharim, Antefinem stands by them in a united front against this coalition of sorcerers.

In the past weeks, the isle has kicked their military into high gear, and an elite special division of their navy has been chosen to deploy behind their Commander-in-Chief: the "Devil Dogs".

In other news:

• Construction of a prison has begun on the southern isle of Antefinem dubbed "Timelock Bastion". Alternatively, it is lovingly referred to by locals as a "Freedom Camp". It is built for other nations to extradite their captives to work off their sentences according to Antefinem's own judicial system where they will turn big rocks into little rocks. Upon completion, any interested countries wishing to extradite prisoners they do not have the time to deal with will need to pay a 10,000 coin fee (per year) and provide either the President, officers, or senators with documentation of their crimes. Once their crimes have been translated into Antefinem's judicial system and the prisoner(s) are received, their sentence will begin. Nations will receive half of any profits prisoners make during internment until release. The harder the prisoners work, the quicker they may be released.
  
• In conjunction of this prison, a mining site is being prepared on the isle of the soon-to-be "Timelock Bastion". 
  
• Word has it that the Patron has risen after 30 years of dormancy.

2053, the year Sapphire Bay was founded. But the Capital is celebrating its triple digits of a nation, joining some of the more venerable nations in that same bracket. But despite the relative quiet of the isles, as they slowly rebuild themselves again, one thing is clear. Those that make the Islands their home are a hardy bunch, and have long memories.

Ruka R. Kazana takes to the throne, as Queen of Fortune, after serving as a Fleet Captain for a period of time. Official news of such however, was deemed less of a priority then ongoing discussions with Nilhirra. Those citizens that called the Isle home await a response, and perhaps a new beginning for others.

Fulumi H. Thorruhn, has been appointed to the position of Head Physician of the Isles, and has begun lessons once again. Her skills will prove their worth in the coming years, both as a doctor, and a mentor for future medics. Her presence has also seen the clinic brought up to modern standards.

Dissonance and discord cling to the ashen streets of the City of Art.

In the wake of the failed rite at the Tower of Aetius, Viritas feels a heavy weight upon its shoulders.

Even as the gentle waves of its shores lap at soft sands, it cannot assuage the tensions rising in people's hearts.

By the day, more innocents are vanishing from the cities streets, when before it was only heresy and crimes that would see people spirited away.

Yet, the drums of war cared not for the heavy hearts and foggy minds of the population.

The Viceroy of Viritas, Yaeka Akatsuki, has been seen less and less since the failed right. Many report that she looked ill, withering away more and more with each sighting. The Shades of Viritas are spoken of less and less, for the threat to the population came from the covens that sought to use them as fuel for their own rites. Yet, after war was declared upon the Last Head of the Hydra, it saw a familiar diminutive fox appear from the dark maw of the Cathedral.

The Republic seeks our end. Those of Pscaela, those that have faithfully followed and toiled for Her Graces liberation, those that came to this city for hopes of freedom from dogma and artistic oppression... It matters naught to them. They will come with righteous fury to extinguish the flames of 'evil'. That is what they truly believe.

• Rumors spread of strange shifts inside the Dark Cathedral. Some speculate a new ritual is being prepared for the war ahead.
  
• A ban upon the Rite of the Sabbath has been placed upon the Apostles of Mydaea while preparations are being made. It does not yet extend to the other covens known to take shelter in the City of Art.
  
• The Voice of Mydaea, Mercucio, has been seen around Viritas preparing for a rite of his own, whispered to be ordained by Mydaea Herself.

• The faithful of Mydaea, the citizens of Viritas that have worshiped the Fallen Angel of Art, start to dwindle with respect to the rest of the population. Some think they are fleeing the city after Rafael, Her Martyr, seems to not be a priority for rescue after two years of captivity. Each passing week sees another family paint a final ink sigil upon their door before their houses are left vacant.

• Enjoying its newfound status as a Duchy within the Kingdom of Delphina, Arcadia stands more prosperous than ever. The city sprawls outside its natural valley, now, with more buildings and infrastructure being built around the cliffs and at the nearby fields and forests. Making use of Delphinan architecture and techniques, Arcadia has seen much integrated use of the nature that surrounds it.
  
  
• The newly crowned Duchess Camellia Aubreen has begun to rather decisively and boldly reshuffle the upper echelons of the city's governing body, even before her ascent. The Council has now been formally disbanded due to its defunct state for the many years that followed the decision. With the becoming of the Duchy, power has been made more centralized, but Her Grace has already begun to look for individuals to fill out the Ministerial Cabinet with hard workers devoted to the city's prosperity. Advisors for many spheres are sought, as well.
  
  
• In the wake of the Duchy's ascent, it falls to the Duchess to remind all Aerodyne and Dryads of their noble status within the Kingdom, ordained by his Majesty nearly two decades ago. Nobility, while a mark of status and prestige, is also a responsibility. Nothing is taken for granted.
  
  
• A few projects, though not disclosed to the public, have been taking place. Arcadian citizens are gently nudged to reach out to Court Sorcerer Chevalier for information on the process, earth or physical magi are preferred; close and most trusted allies of Arcadia are allowed to make a gentle inquiry if they can assist.
  
  
• The Choir of Joy, the primary organized priesthood of Koretheia, has been flourishing. Those who seek to learn of Harmony and the principles of the Maiden of Spring would know to seek out Thirayana, Aelora Kasca, Venus Kasca, and even the newly initiated Elune. Whilst Camellia Aubreen remains the Goddess' messenger and interpreter of her will, the Choir's primary activities are delegated primarily to Aelora Kasca at this point in time.
  
  
• Actively involved in the marches of the Kingdom of Delphina, Arcadian forces have consistently aided the Elzara in many combat encounters that have happened upon Meranthe ever since the emergence and eventual downfall of the Hydra. Rumours spread of an attempt to bring the distinct forces closer together yet, uncertain - nothing that the Duchess has cared to confirm yet.
  
  
• Due to certain events, it is also once again stated that while violence may be banned upon the grounds of the sacred city, it nevertheless remains the duty of Arcadian authorities to perform arrests on its grounds when necessary. All citizens are also well within their right to defend themselves.
  
  
• Arcadia is the center of renewal, healing, connection. To those who seek to better understand one self and the world around them, those who wish to heal and live in harmony with others and the world itself, those who wish to learn the nature of the spirit and the soul and embrace it wholly, are welcome to seek audience with officials to become citizens of Arcadia and subjects of Delphina. ✦ Quietness falls over Caethir's surrounding forests throughout their most recent years. It became well-known afterwhile that the beast once dubbed The Watcher, a formidable creature also named Leshen, fell in battle against King Lucion. As to what will be done to the body is left up to speculation. Yet, another problem stirs from hibernation...

✦ Expansion conducted by Queen Consort Calanthe provides fortifications around any homes and stalls belonging to the population. Additional houses can be built within its parameters with permits granted by the crown. This also provides space for those aspiring towards knighthood inside the Azure Order, alongside recruitment efforts via Knight-Commander Cifer.

✦  After promises to reinstate sorcery as it once was, the crown has entrusted the previous Fae Queen, and now royal aide, Adira, with its reformation and organization. Sorcerers able to initiate those willing to learn the art are implored to visit and negotiate arrangements with the leadership.
